is a weekly event hosted by Jill of Breaking the Spine. This meme is a place that spotlights upcoming releases that we´re eagerly anticipating with pure joy. After I enjoyed the first book with growing pleasure, I have to know how this story will continue and therefore I can´t wait to get my hands on this one. Okay, I am not in love with the cover, I liked the other one better, but it looks good as well and it is the content, the novel, that still counts - even for a cover girl *smile*

A refugee of war, Mira was cast out of her home country and thrust into another, where the conditions were inhospitable at best. In a life-altering twist of fate, she is given the chance to escape once more, and she takes it, joining the Glittering Court. For a select group of girls, the Glittering Court offers a shot at a life they´ve only ever dreamed of, one of luxury, glamour, and leisure. But for Mira, it means further persecution, not only from her fellow Glittering Court jewels, but from her suitors, as well-men she would potentially be expected to give her life to. By day, she goes through the motions, learning the etiquette and customs that will help to earn her anonymity, even making a couple true friends in the process, the forthright ladies´ maid Adelaide and the ambitious laundress Tamsin. But by night, Mira hatches a different plan entirely-one that, if exposed, could get her hanged in the highest court of Adoria.

And what are you waiting for? Let me know your thoughts about this one or leave me the link to your WoW and I check it out.

  2. OmG, I had no idea that the cover for this book has already been released!!
I also can't wait for this book to come out, althugh I am still reading The Glittering Court (I had a long pause and now I guess I'll have to go back and reread what I read and just continue with the story).
But oh, this cover is just... I don't know why Richelle Mead has the worst covers among YA writers, and yet her books are one of the best ones (okay, maybe not ALL of them, but still...).

    1. I know what you mean *lol*. I stumbled by accident over it and thought I had to share it. I am still not getting really warm with this cover, but when I think about how she describes Mira and after a few times looking at it I think it fits Mira perfect ...

  6. I own the first one but well, you guessed it - it remains unread. I actually like this cover better although when I saw it, I immediately thought it was part of the Bloodlines series. Must be the colors. Hope you enjoy this one as well.

    1. Yes, the colors is, what gives this cover a totally different look, ´cause the motive is kind of the same compared to the first one. But for Mira its the right way of presenting her, I guess. Thanks for stopping by :-)
