Stacking The Shelves is hosted by Tynga´s Reviews and is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical stores or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks! I am also connecting with Bought Borrowed & Bagged in homage of Barron´s Books & Baubles from Karen Marie Moning´s smash hit series, Fever, hosted by Braine at Talk Supe.

This week arrived one book package after the other at my place. Some of them contained reviewer copies, other books I bought and in some were books I hadn´t asked for *happy dance*.

The Sprite Sisters – A Wisdom of Owls is a book that obviously came out first in Germany. At least I wasn´t able to find a UK/US cover no matter how hard I was looking and even the homepage of the author doesn´t show one, so I really guess that the German edition is the first that came out. Don´t ask me why that is.

I am so happy that I finally got my original edition of Arwen Elys Dayton´s Seeker series. Okay, I got the paperback edition and it has some scratches (which I am not happy with and about the deep scratches in the cover of Grave Mercy I´ll rather don´t start to talk about – still get mad to look at them) but I guess I´ll have to live with them. Maybe one day I will be able to buy a new edition of it. For now, I am happy to have this one.

Daphne Unruh is a German author who started writing and publishing books as a self-publisher. Now, her series about the elements is brought out for the first time in print and I got the first two books of that series from the publisher. I already read the first book and am not that excited about it. But hopefully the second will be more pleasant. My reviews to them I will post as soon as I am allowed to do so.

Quin Kincaid is a Seeker. Her legacy is an honor, an ancient role passed down for generations. But what she learned on her Oath night changed her world forever. Quin pledged her life to deception. Her legacy as a Seeker is not noble but savage. Her father, a killer. Her uncle, a liar. Her mother, a casualty. And the boy she once loved is out for vengeance, with her family in his sights. Yet Quin is not alone. Shinobu, her oldest companion, might now be the only person she can trust. The only one who wants answers as desperately as she does. But the deeper they dig into the past, the darker things become. 2. Ah, I love Grave Mercy. That stinks about the scratches, though. Can you exchange them since they're damaged?

    1. No, unfortunately not. I bought them used, but got told they would be in perfect conditions. Well, guess lesson learned - don´t buy used books unless you can look at them before purchasing ... Thanks for stopping by.
