Stacking The Shelves is hosted by Tynga´s Reviews and is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical stores or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts, and of course ebooks! I am also connecting with Bought Borrowed & Bagged in homage of Barron´s Books & Baubles from Karen Marie Moning´s smash hit series, Fever, hosted by Braine at Talk Supe

After I´ve heard so many good things about her books and watched all her videos about her newest book, I had to see what the fuss about Sara Humphreys was all about. And since I don´t like starting a series in the middle, I went and bought the first book of her McGuire Brothers Series and hope it can keep what everyone promises me: that it will be great. I haven´t even read the first book, Hardwired, yet, nor bought it, but the second book of the The Hacker series was a real pick and so I got it. Now I´ll need to get the first part so I can start reading *laugh*

A little while ago I received out of the blue a book that I would not have picked myself. But when this particular publisher sends you a book without being asked to do so, I am the last person to complain about it *smile*

Brave The Heat

Jordan McKenna is back in town, and Fire Chief Gavin McGuire´s feelings when he sees her after all these years are as raw as the day she left. Then he was just a kid wearing his heart on his sleeve. Now, he spends every day trying to atone for the tragedy he couldn´t prevent. Jordan´s life has not exactly worked out the way she expected. A divorced mother of two with a failed acting career, Jordan´s biggest concern about coming back to Old Brookfield was seeing her first love. But when a series of suspicious fires breaks out, Jordan and Gavin realize that dealing with the sparks between them may be the least dangerous of their problems.

Hardpressed

Pure unadulterated pleasure. Despite Blake Landon´s controlling ways, the young and wealthy hacker has finally won the trust of Erica Hathaway, the woman he loves. Erica broke down the walls that kept her from opening her heart, and now she´s determined to keep her heart, and her growing business, safe. Ready to start this new chapter in her life, Erica won´t let anything come between them, even if that means giving Blake back some of the control he craves in and out of the bedroom. But when demons from her past threaten their future, Erica makes a decision that could change their lives forever.

A Book I Got By Surprise From A German Publisher

Wonderland by Christina Stein *

Thailand. Sun. Palm trees and a mansion at the beach. The perfect holiday! But when Lizzy wakes up the morning after a beach party, she is trapped. Amidst of the jungle with her best friends – and with Jacob. Jacob, who none of them knows really, and whom invited them to that damn beach party. Only  because of him they have landed in a reality game, in which there is only black or white, win or lose, sacrifice or be sacrificed.
Who are the players in this game? What have they planned? And what role plays Jacob? Lizzy doesn´t know. She also has no clue how long she´ll survive without her heart medicines. She only knows one thing: the group must decide tomorrow, who will be the next victim of them …

  4. Brave The Heart looks like a solid, romantic novel. I don't read them often, but I like them. They give one's outlook a little sunshine! I read the description for Wonderland. I don't think it would be my type of book, but it is VERY flattering to get a book from a publisher, isn't it? Have a great week.
