The right image is everything in the world the Royals live in. Even when that means that you have to pay people money to solve the bad things you´ve done.

Ella Harper has met every challenge that life has thrown her way. She´s tough, resilient, and willing to do whatever it takes to defend the people she loves, but the challenge of a long-lost father and a boyfriend whose life is on the line might be too much for even Ella to overcome. Reed Royal has a quick temper and even faster fists. But his tendency to meet every obstacle with violence has finally caught up with him. If he wants to save himself and the girl he loves, he´ll need to rise above his tortured past and tarnished reputation. No one believes Ella can survive the Royals. Everyone is sure Reed will destroy them all. They might be right.

Thoughts

But when it comes to a murder, no money in the world can save your butt.
And when a hotheaded man, who´s still acting like a little boy comes across you, there is only one thing left you can do: Pray.

The only thing is, Ella is no girl who likes to pray.
Ella is determined to do everything within her power to save Reed from prison. That her father is trying to keep her away not only from Reed but the entire Royal family is nothing she likes. And when she has to learn that he not only wants her away from them but also to control every aspect of her life, she starts to fight him back. Soon she sees that she has some weapons of her own and with them, the power to bring the truth to light. And one person beside her she´d never thought would defend her in the deadliest of situations she could ever imagine.

Holy crab this book was amazing! Fast-paced, with figures who turned out to be even better than expected and with a plot I was absolutely thrilled to read.

Erin Watt has not only changed her tone a bit, but also the way how the story was presented to the reader. A lot of intrigues, drugs, alcohol, and tricks are brought up to keep the novel running and the reader fascinated.

I didn´t see who the actual bad guy was, until the very end. I didn´t even have a clue – and that is … wow. Just wow.

I didn´t like Steve at all. For a grown-up man, he is way too childish and didn´t give a damn if Ella felt comfortable and safe while he was driving his car like the devil´s behind him. Acting like he cares for his daughter and on the other hand, he does everything to make her life a living hell. And I am not talking about what he does to Reed.

Good, in this book are again some stereotypes, but this time I didn´t care. They were not THAT important to the plot and had only little scenes, so what the heck. Instead, I was very intrigued by the way how Ella handled the situation with her father Steve. How she fought him, how she manipulated him and how she made him do and agree to things she wanted – that was so hilarious. I couldn´t stop smiling or laughing while I read all she came up with. What a girl!

Holy hell – what a fantastic book! This is a genius thriller placed in the life of a young Highschool girl, wealth and excessive life five teenage boys live. I enjoyed every second of it and didn´t see it coming until the very end. I definitely need to read the next books of this series, that´s for sure!

Happy reading
