Waiting On Wednesday #51 – Queen & Blood by Amy Harmon

Wednesday, November 08, 2017
is a weekly event originally hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine. This meme is a place that spotlights upcoming releases that we´re eagerly anticipating with pure joy.

For whatever reason Jill is not blogging since August 2016 but her meme is still going on. Hope everything is ok and she will be back soon! Until then, I am joining Tressa at Wishful Endings and her meme Can´t-Wait Wednesday.

This cover is fantastic looking. The colors, the letters, the motive – a beautifully designed cover. I am having book one, The Bird and the Sword, already laying on my desk waiting for me and yesterday, when I found out that this second book will come out next year, I couldn´t resist to present it with today´s WoW.
So here we go, my pick for this week’s Waiting On Wednesday or as Tressa calls it, Can´t-Wait Wednesday *smile*.

Queen & Blood (The Queen and the Cure) by Amy Harmon will be published as German edition on July 29, 2018, by LYX as a softcover.

There will be a battle, and you will need to protect your heart. Kjell of Jeru had always known who he was. He´d never envied his brother or wanted to be king. He was the bastard son of the late King Zoltev and a servant girl, and the ignominy of his birth had never bothered him. But there is more to a man than his parentage. More to a man than his blade, his size, or his skills, and all that Kjell once knew has shifted and changed. He is no longer simply Kjell of Jeru, a warrior defending the crown. Now he is a healer, one of the Gifted, and a man completely at odds with his power. Called upon the rid of the country of the last vestiges of the Volgar, Kjell stumbles upon a woman who has troubling glimpses of the future and no memory of the past. Armed with his unwanted gift and haunted by regret, Kjell becomes a reluctant savior, beset by old enemies and new expectations. With the woman by his side, Kjell embarks upon a journey where the greatest test may be finding the man she believes him to be.

Happy reading & waiting on
