is a weekly event originally hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine. This meme is a place that spotlights upcoming releases that we´re eagerly anticipating with pure joy. For whatever reason Jill is not blogging since August 2016 but her meme is still going on. Hope everything is ok and she will be back soon! Until then, I am joining Tressa at Wishful Endings and her meme Can´t-Wait Wednesday.

My pick this week is a book, that was already published in English about two years ago. Sometimes it takes a bit until a German edition is coming out or until I´m able to get my hands on it. This book was offered to me by the German publisher and since I had a really great time with “Just One Day” & “Just One Year” I couldn´t resist. The cover got me somehow. I know, the summary tells something different that isn´t all sunshine and butterflies, but for whatever reason, this is the optic the German book will have.

Irgendwas Von Dir
Author Gayle Forman
Publishing Date April 26, 2018
Publisher Fischer FJB
Format Softcover
Goodreads

When her best friend, Meg, commits suicide by drinking a bottle of industrial-strength cleaner alone in a motel room, Cody is understandably shocked and devastated. She and Meg shared everything – so how did she miss the signs of Meg´s depression? But when Cody travels to Meg´s college town to pack up the belongings left behind, she discovers that there´s a lot that Meg never told her. About her old roommates, the sort of people Cody never would have met in her dead-end small town in Washington. About Ben McAllister, the boy with a guitar and a sneer, and some secrets of his own. And about an encrypted computer file that Cody can´t open – until she does, and suddenly everything Cody thought she knew about her best friend´s death gets thrown into question.

And what are you waiting for? Let me know your thoughts about this one or leave me the link to your WoW and I check it out.

Happy reading & waiting on

  2. I love Foreman, and I thought this book was really good. It's on the darker side, being as the main character is trying to figure out why her friend killed herself, but I loved that Cody's quest to figure out Meg's death helped her find herself. I hope you enjoy it!

  11. I love the cover of the German edition! In fact, I prefer it to the cover of the English edition. However, I must be honest -- this is not my type of read at all. Too depressing for me. I do hope you enjoy reading it, though. :) :)

    1. I am unfortunately familiar with the situation, Cody is facing in this novel. I didn´t like Gayle Forman´s adult novel, but her YA books are not bad. Thanks a lot for stopping by. Always happy when people visit my blog and leave a comment!
