With the Weekly Book Wrap-Up, I give you a bit of an insight into all the new books that have arrived at my place. No matter if I won a giveaway, got approved for a reviewer´s copy, an ARC, or just bought one myself. Everything that I add to my shelves, in what way ever and read during the past week or am still reading, I will write about it. And maybe I tell you a bit about the upcoming things on Inkvotary, that is if I don´t forget it and have something to share with you *smile*

I am linking up with Tynga´s Reviews and Caffeinated Reviewer and hope you´ll have fun reading it and maybe get the one or the other book inspiration.

Stacking The Shelves #54

This week I can´t provide any new title since I haven´t bought or gotten one. Still waiting for my books to arrive from Canada and all the others I have on pre-order are not due yet.

Sunday Post #11

Ah yes, we have that time of year again – carnival. I am not much of a carnival-fan, and to be honest very pissed that all my favorite TV shows have to give way to the clownish shows they do in Cologne and Mainz where the carnival is mostly celebrated.

Another thing that gives me mixed feelings is something that recently happened on my blog. I went into my statistics and saw to my utter surprise, that around 4480 visits had come in within a few hours. I was like HUH? WHAT IN THE WORLD?! Some further digging showed me that they had all been from Israel. And now I am highly confused and have a big question mark in my head. Still, don´t know what to think of that, and hope that everything is ok with those visits.

The last time I had such a jump in my visitor statistics was when I published a review about a German book and the author retweeted my post. This time I posted another German edition, but I don´t think that those high numbers are a result of that book … strange …

Turns out, I am not happy with one of the challenges I am participating in this year. That challenge seems to be more complicated to handle as the other one and I am not sure if I will keep doing it. On the other hand, I hate to fail in something….

I Am Reading

Happy reading

  1. Hope the Girl Before is a good read. I remember seeing that one and thinking it looked good. Sorry to hear about your shows- it can be irritating when events interrupt favorite shows.

  3. The random pageviews might be web bots. That has happened to my blog a few times in the last 4 years. I once got over 1000 views from Russia. I didn’t get any extra comments, so I don’t think the views were from real people. I must have posted something that got the attention of robots.

  4. Wow, that's a bit odd about the visits! That's lots! I wonder too.
I can't wait for the pancake day though (I mean carnival, we also eat pancakes).
    Have a great week :)

  6. The Girl Before Looks good, those spikes could be bots or possibly a brute force attack, which your security would have stopped.

    1. It does look good. I am not sure if that counts for the content as well. Thanks for your visit, Kimberly.

  7. I hate it when my favorite shows end up being cancelled for horrible shows. It's like, why didn't they just wrap up my favorite show first and then show the other shows. I hope you have a lovely week!

  10. I have my eye on The Girl Before too and plan to read it soon. Oh and I had something similiar on my blog once, but the visits were from Russia. Turns out they were spam bots, not real people. They don't harm your blog from what I could figure out, but they do throw your stats right out.
