In my weekly book wrap-up, I share with you the new books that have arrived at my place. No matter if I won a giveaway or got approved for a reviewer´s copy, got an ARC or just bought a new one. And I will tell you a bit about the how and why I added them to my shelves and why I wanted them in the first place. Weekly Book Wrap-Up is a combination where I link up with Tynga and Kimberly and their blogs. The rest will stay the same, don´t worry. I´ll keep you posted on what is going on with my bookshelves and the little stories about them.

Stacking The Shelves #47 is hosted by Tynga´s Reviews. A meme that is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical stores or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks!

Sunday Post #4

Sunday Post #4 is hosted by Caffeinated Book Reviewer and is a weekly meme where I share with you what happened off the blog, what I could read during the past week and where I will share the news what is coming up on Gone With The Books for the week ahead if I can. I am not much of a planning blogger and mostly write and post my things on a day to day basis, so be patient with me here *smile*

Right now I am actually kind of speechless. Never before in my life, I had so many book complaints with amazon then I had in the past week. You can say that every book I ordered arrived damaged at my place. It was pissing me off and the fact that I had to deal with a broken telephone line was not making it any better. The phone company could fix whatever the problem was within hours but nonetheless, it made me angry that I had to use my cell to deal with everything instead of the normal phone.

And one of my neighbors gave me a really hard time. Believe me, I am usually a peaceful person and avoid anger wherever I can. But that woman really brought me to the line where I couldn´t do anything but to call my landlord and ask her for her help/advice. I have now an enemy in that neighbor, and it isn´t very great to see how someone you actually have nothing to do with - despite being neighbors in the same apartment building – looks at you with such hate in the eyes that you actually feel this can´t be real. I never experienced anything like that with another person and I have experienced many awful things in my life, believe me.  But she tops it all – easily! Thank god my landlord was very understanding when I talked to her about this and told me how to handle it. To know that she covers my back is a relief and the hell with that neighbor. Who is she anyway that she thinks she could bully me around?

Since Monday I am thinking seriously about renaming my blog into something shorter and more memorable. So far it is a blog I do for private pleasure and for my English speaking friends, I don´t make money with it and have no plans to change that in the near future. Therefore I don´t have business cards for my blog in my purse.  Oh boy, that story is really something I don´t need at the moment with all the other things going on….

I could manage to read some books and do some work on my blog. But no new books this week, so I am counting this as a good sign.

I read & currently read

Saving Mercy  Harry Potter And The Cursed Child

    1. I hope that too. Was asking myself if something was in the water... ´cause I have no explanation at all for such poor and bad behavior... Thanks for stopping by.

  4. Arguing with neighbors is the worst. Your home should be a sanctuary and not stressful. Hopefully she moves soon ;) haha!
Hope you have a better week!

  5. I'm sorry you had to deal with an aggressive neighbor. It's never easy dealing with difficult people, I should know since I had to deal with a lot of rude people at my old job. But, I hope you can get through this!

    1. Well, the good thing is I only had to deal with her a few minutes during that damn thing. Oh yeah, rude people - tell me about it! Thanks for stopping by.

  6. I haven't read a Nora Roberts book in forever!!!
My goodness, your week really was difficult :/ It's good to know your landlord has your back at least. Just try to live your life, being happy and forget that neighbor.

  7. Sorry to hear about the Amazon troubles! And the neighbor too- what is wrong with some people? Some people seem to go out of their way to be nasty or whatever and I don't really get it. Hopefully you won't have to deal with her much...

Also, hope that you have a good week and happy reading. :)

  8. Oh goodness, I'm so sorry to hear about your Amazon purchases! That's so frustrating! I've never had a problem with damages but I've always had good experiences with Amazon's customer services, in other matters. Ugh, and your neighbor, that reminds me of all of the reasons why I hate living in an apartment. I'm moving out of mine soon and I'm excited (but also a bit sad, because I'll miss some things about this apartment). Anyway! I hope you enjoy all of your new books!

Have a fabulous week, Vi. =)

    1. Yes, the amazon customer service can be great. This time I was connected with their service center in Cape Town and had a man from Switzerland on the phone who helped me with my problem. So it was very international considered where I am from and where I live at the moment, hihi.

Usually I love living in this building. But during the last few years a lot of people were moving in and out and with the new ones the atmosphere in the house changed a lot for the worse.

      Thanks for stopping by.
