Waiting On Wednesday #52 – Girl In Pieces by Kathleen Glasgow

Wednesday, November 22, 2017
is a weekly event originally hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine. This meme is a place that spotlights upcoming releases that we´re eagerly anticipating with pure joy.

For whatever reason Jill is not blogging since August 2016 but her meme is still going on. Hope everything is ok and she will be back soon! Until then, I am joining Tressa at Wishful Endings and her meme Can´t-Wait Wednesday.

This is a book that was offered to me by the German publisher a little while ago. The cover and the blurb made me curious and I replied with a positive answer. Now I am waiting for it to come out next year and hopefully it will be as good as most of my international friends are telling me that it is.

So, my pick for this week is Girl in Pieces, and I hope it was a wise choice. As always you see on the right side the German cover and on the left, the US/UK.

Mädchen in Scherben (Girl in Pieces) by Kathleen Glasgow will be published as German edition on March 22, 2018, by Fischer as a paperback.

Charlotte Davis is in pieces. At seventeen she´s already lost more than most people do in a lifetime. But she´s learned how to forget. The broken glass washes away the sorrow until there is nothing but calm. You don´t have to think about your father and the river. Your best friend, who is gone forever. Or your mother, who has nothing left to give you. Every new scar hardens Charlie´s heart just a little more, yet it still hurts so much. It hurts enough to not care anymore, which is sometimes what has to happen before you can find your way back from the edge.

Happy reading & waiting on

  1. Sounds quite emotional, poor Charlotte. I hope you get your copy soon. Great pick.
