is a weekly event hosted by Jill of Breaking the Spine. This meme is a place that spotlights upcoming releases that we´re eagerly anticipating with pure joy. It is no secret that Nora Roberts has changed the publisher for whatever reason and went to St. Martin´s Press. Come Sundown is the first book under the new roof and already the cover shows it – in an absolutely positive way. Even her Initials that show that it is a new release (because many of her books get reissued lately) come in a beautiful modern design. So yes, I am looking very much forward to this new book by one of my favorite authors. She is one of the few where I am willing to pay some money to get the hardcover edition *smile*

The Bodine ranch and resort in western Montana is a family business, an idyllic spot for vacationers. A little over thirty thousand acres and home to four generations, it´s kept running by Bodine Longbow with the help of a large staff, including new hire Callen Skinner. There was another member of the family once: Bodine´s aunt, Alice, who ran off before Bodine was born. She never returned, and the Longbows don´t talk about her much. The younger ones, who never met her, quietly presume she´s dead. But she isn´t. She is not far away, part of a new family, one she never chose – and her mind has been shattered … When a bartender leaves the resort late one night, and Bo and Cal discover her battered body in the snow, it´s the first sign that danger lurks in the mountains that surround them. The police suspect Cal, but Bo finds herself trusting him – and turning him as another woman is murdered and the Longbows are stunned by Alice´s sudden reappearance. The twisted story she has to tell about the past – and the threat that follows in her wake – will test the bonds of this strong family, and thrust Bodine into a darkness she could never have imagined.
I really love this cover with the sunset on the word sundown. So pretty! Hope you'll love this book. ^_^

It sounds very intriguing - and I am a huge NR fan :-)
DeleteLooks like the change may be a good thing. I've read a few of her books and I have to admit, the ones I've read, I've really enjoyed.
ReplyDeleteI am reading NR books since many, many years and I hope this one will be as good as her others. Thanks for stopping by.
