With the Weekly Book Wrap-Up, I give you a bit of an insight into all the new books that have arrived at my place. No matter if I won a giveaway, got approved for a reviewer´s copy, an ARC, or just bought one myself. Everything that I add to my shelves, in what way ever and read during the past week or am still reading, I will write about it. And maybe I tell you a bit about the upcoming things on Inkvotary, that is if I don´t forget it and have something to share with you *smile*

I am linking up with Tynga´s Reviews and Caffeinated Reviewer and hope you´ll have fun reading it and maybe get the one or the other book inspiration.

Stacking The Shelves #75

This book came by surprise about a week ago. I already posted a picture on my Instagram account but thought I present it here too. Left side German edition, right side English edition.

Sunday Post #32

The past week has been a very quiet one. Except for the usual madness a family and friends can bring with, I was able to do a lot of maintenance work on my blog and search for a new template. Yap, that is still going on.

My local library informed me, that they have changed politics about getting new releases or books in general. I was asking for the third book of a trilogy and since I couldn´t find it online or in the YA section there, I thought I ask one of the ladies who run the place. Despite having a nice little conversation with her, I heard to my astonishment, that, unless a teenager was asking for it or better two, they wouldn´t get it at all. It didn´t make sense to me at all. They have book one and two already in stock, so why not get the third as well?  She couldn´t even tell me if that was only a temporary rule or not. Good, their space is limited at the moment, but that is only until the new building is finished. And over the last three years, it was no problem at all for them to get new books, no matter if it was a new release or not. Well, let´s see what time will bring.

I am reading

Happy reading

  1. That's a frustrating and weird rule that your library has. I'm disappointed in them. Well, I think I can understand if it's budgetary related but I think it's odd that they only order a YA title if a teenager requests it. I hope that changes. I feel like they really should just have ordered it automatically since, like you said, they already had the first two in the trilogy! So weird. Anyways. I hope the search for a new template is going well!

    1. It IS a weird rule and I am not happy with it. I do hope that it is only because of the space-problem they are having at the moment. Still searching for a new template *smile* Thanks for stopping by.

  2. That does seem like a strange new policy! I wouldn't like that haha. Our library is expanding too, it's kind of small, and I'm looking forward to seeing when it opens. I hope yours changes their policy- maybe enough negative feedback will do the trick. :)

    1. The facial-expression must have spoken volumes. I still don´t know what to say. A library should be a place where you can get books, no matter what genre or age. Well, I hope they change it again very soon, because the budget is not the problem. Thanks for stopping by.

  3. I hate it when libraries change their policies, especially when you were so used to their last policy. Hope you have a good week!

  4. Our library is pretty good about new purchases, and if they don’t have it we can apply for an inter library loan where they check with other libraries in the state and organise a special loan. Anyway, I hope you get your hands on a copy of the book you want.

    Have a great reading week

    1. Well, I suppose they had to change the rule because of the space-problem in that section. But it was a shocking moment, when she told me that. Library means for me, that they have new releases, no matter what genre. Thanks for stopping by.
