With the Weekly Book Wrap-Up, I give you a bit of an insight into all the new books that have arrived at my place. No matter if I won a giveaway, got approved for a reviewer´s copy, an ARC, or just bought one myself. Everything that I add to my shelves, in what way ever and read during the past week or am still reading, I will write about it.  And maybe I tell you a bit about the upcoming things on Inkvotary, that is if I don´t forget it and have something to share with you *smile*

I am linking up with Tynga´s Reviews and Caffeinated Reviewer and hope you´ll have fun reading it and maybe get the one or the other book inspiration.

Stacking The Shelves #120

I was a good girl. No new books.

Sunday Post #77

I´ve been very productive over the past few days. I managed to read some books and started a new one. I was able to write a few reviews and made further progress with the editing of my older posts. By late June blogger will change the design of its dashboard and after trying that new thing – looks awful – I know that I need to get all the editing stuff done before that change happens. To be honest, user-friendly is different.

On Tuesday I updated my reading list for the upcoming months and discovered that I will be a busy reading bee until late 2021. Many of this year’s new releases got shifted to next year and added to that, some publishers already have asked me to read books that were originally planned for next year when Corona wasn´t even on the horizon. My list kind of exploded within a few hours. Oh boy ...

Strawberries are one of the fruits I could literally dive into and eat all day all week long. Either picked fresh from the field or when I am walking across a farmers market. I always enjoy them with absolute delight. Well, maybe not this year. When I saw them yesterday morning at the supermarket, I was thrilled. When I saw the price, the thrilling feeling vanished. I know that the farmers deserve every penny they can get for their harvest and I am sure they are worth every cent. I am just not willing to pay four bucks for 500 grams of that red delicious sweetness. No matter how great they smell and how fantastic they look. So, another thing to thank Corona…

Yesterday I also watched the live pictures from Windsor Castle where the Queen held her mini Trooping the Colors event. I wouldn´t consider myself a royalist but the annual birthday parade in June is one of the things I have on my calendar every year. And on Saturday, it was special, although for a sad and very painful reason. But to be honest, to see the Queen enjoying the event while the world around us is up in flames – was real bliss.

For some reason, I´ve become an early bird in the past few days. Not sure why that is, but I know that I don´t like it. Sure, you can get a lot of things done with all that extra time but on a Sunday, I would love to sleep longer and just enjoy doing nothing. Maybe it is the crazy weather we´ve had over the past weeks. It is so cold on some days and the next so humid and rainy that one might think the world is going under.

And I could use your advice and your opinion. Could you guys please check the images below and tell me what you think? If you like to check the full view, click the "here" below the pictures. I am not fishing for clicks, but for your honest and open opinion. I am not sure how to proceed with the style of my reviews. The first is a bit more time consuming to create while the latter is easy and fast done. The first means looking for some free stock, making a screenshot of the "free stock information" (just in case the photographer changes its mind), and then create the image shown below. The other is just the cover shown in a certain size.

  2. Oh give the block editor a chance. I did and I am loving it. Yes, it does have a bit of learning curve but it is worth it. I am looking forward to the new changes now, given the past updates.

I like the Simon Thorn And The Eagle´s Lair image. You can take a look at my review images (again not fishing for clicks!) for inspirations, as I am using a similar format.

    1. Believe me, I gave it multiple chances. The "try the new blogger" button appears for months now and I was curious. But it still is not what I call user-friendly. Thank you for your visit.

  3. I think either of the two options is fine. You could do mostly fast and easy and maybe only do the one with extra graphics for one you really enjoy. Yes, many things are more expensive if you are going to have them, not just food.

    Happy reading and stay well!

  5. The new blogger designer is such a pain. I keep telling myself I will get used to it, but so far I have nothing good to say about it. I like both options you give. The first is definitely more eye catching, but I lean more toward the one that is easier to put together. My daughter loves strawberries too, and we've definitely noticed an increase in the price. We've been getting them now and then, but not every time my husband goes shoppping. I hope your sleep returns to normal. Mine is really off these days too. I hope you have a good week! Stay safe and well.

    1. I try to get used to the new blogger design too but already wrote so many feedback notes to blogger with requests to change some things again like the tag button or the "Go to page" button. Ugh! Have a great week yourself and stay safe and well.

  6. That's such a shame about the strawberries. I love them too but haven't looked to see how expensive they are this season yet. I expect I'll see a similar price increase. Both of the graphics look nice. I'm lazy and always take the easy route but the first one is definitely eye catching.

  7. Glad you are getting organized. i have a blogger account I only use to create HTML's for client's blitzes and tours. I don't publish anything..but I have found all kinds of issues with links, formatting etc. I hope they test before rolling out.
