With the Weekly Book Wrap-Up, I give you a bit of an insight into all the new books that have arrived at my place. No matter if I won a giveaway, got approved for a reviewer´s copy, an ARC, or just bought one myself. Everything that I add to my shelves, in what way ever and read during the past week or am still reading, I will write about it.  And maybe I tell you a bit about the upcoming things on Inkvotary, that is if I don´t forget it and have something to share with you *smile*

I am linking up with Tynga´s Reviews and Caffeinated Reviewer and hope you´ll have fun reading it and maybe get the one or the other book inspiration.

Stacking The Shelves #125

No new books. Guess, I was a good girl.

Sunday Post #82

The past three weeks were one emotional rollercoaster. We had the police coming to our house because one of our neighbors had watched a young man checking out our garages during the early hours on a Sunday morning and thought that isn´t good. She called one of my neighbors and they called the police. I was very surprised when the officers arrived. No masks and no physical distancing. WTF?

I finally had my medical check-up and though I am glad that it is over now, the doctor had bad news for me. Can we please rewind this year and do a fresh start with no Corona and no other bad stuff? I am so sick and tired of the entire situation. And because of some stupid idiots who still think the entire pandemic is just a joke, the numbers in Germany are rising again and some of our seas got closed until September because too many people were there with no physical distance to have some fun. Ugh!

The past week I was kind of busy with the editing of my older posts. I posted some reviews and started the next book from the pile of review copies I am completely overdue with. Ah yes …

How was your week? Stay safe and healthy.

Happy reading

  1. Sending virtual hugs because this year has been a super rough one.
I also find it ridiculious that people still think it's a joke.

Hope this week is a better one for you Vi! Happy Reading! Stay Safe

    1. Well, it depends on your definition of "too bad". I was not happy ...

  3. I am sorry it has been a difficult week. I am happy to stay home because too many people are stupid. Yes, that's right, or maybe I should say selfish or unkind. It's been really hot and will continue for a few weeks yet so we will just be happy indoors. Stay safe!

    1. We will have the hot days for another few days and then go back to a bit cooler weather. Thank God!

  4. I am sorry to hear you received bad news from the doctor. I hope it is nothing serious and fixable. That is nice that your neighbors were looking out for you, but not good that the officers weren't taking precautions. It sounds like something our sheriff's department would do given the the local sheriff's stance on masks being a violation of civil liberties.

I am sorry you are seeing the numbers go up where you live. I hope things settle down again for you soon.

Stay safe and well. Have a great week.

    1. It is a weird situation. The police officers I saw the other day at the supermarket were in full gear and wearing masks. And I was tempted to offer them something to drink. Oh well ...

  5. I am sorry to hear about bad news but hope all works out. This year has been awful, no question. And I share your feelings. People are being ridiculous here and it's so mind boggling to me that we have scientific information and people continue to not wear masks, think it's a hoax, etc. It really challenges my faith in humanity sometimes lol. Seriously though, I know what you mean, for sure. And that is weird the police didn't wear masks!

Take care this week and be well.

  6. *Hugs.* Sorry it was a tough week. I’m in the US, so I’m very familiar with people (and politicians) not taking the pandemic seriously. We could beat this if people were more considerate of others. Have a good week!

  7. It is the same here in Scotland, it is starting to go away but there have been spikes in some of the bigger cities. People think they know best, too many not wearing masks and too many not socially distancing.

I think we definitely need a do over on 2020!

Hope this week is better for you.
