is a weekly event that was originally hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine. This meme is a place that spotlights upcoming releases that we´re eagerly anticipating with pure joy. There are a lot of new books coming out each year and some of them catch my attention and will get a spotlight in my Waiting on Wednesday post. While some of them will finally end up here at my place, others won´t. I am joining Tressa at Wishful Endings and her meme Can´t-Wait Wednesday.

I want to be honest and blunt with you. This cover is terrible. Never seen such ugliness in cover design. I am very sorry for the author, who created this, but when I see how I feel about this and how the reaction was and still is on social media, I don´t why they had to change the style of this series. It does not match with the rest of this series. It makes me sad that neither the publisher nor the author itself seems to care what the fans say. Yes, it is the story between the two covers I am interested in. But on the other hand, when I pre-order it or buy it at some point later, I show the publisher and author that the cover does not matter because it is the story itself I am interested in. Which is true to a certain point. But the cover matters to me too. I am a cover girl. And incredibly sad that this one looks so awful. However, I am looking forward to this new story even though I don´t like the cover design or know yet if I will buy it or rather borrow it one day from my local library. If they will ever have it in stock, that is.

Nesta Archeron has always been prickly-proud, swift to anger, and slow to forgive. And ever since being forced into the Cauldron and becoming High Fae against her will, she has struggled to find a place for herself within the strange, deadly world she inhabits. Worse, she cannot seem to move past the horrors of the war with Hybern and all she lost in it. The one person who ignites her temper more than any other is Cassian, the battle-scarred warrior whose position in Rhysand and Feyre's Night Court keeps him constantly in Nesta's orbit. But her temper is not the only thing Cassian ignites. The fire between them is undeniable and only burns hotter as they are forced into close quarters with each other. Meanwhile, the treacherous human queens who returned to the Continent during the last war have forged a dangerous new alliance, threatening the fragile peace that has settled over the realms. And the key to halting them might very well rely on Cassian and Nesta facing their haunting pasts. Against the sweeping backdrop of a world seared by war and plagued with uncertainty, Nesta and Cassian battle monsters from within and without as they search for acceptance-and healing-in each other's arms.

    1. You are right. Nesta deserves to get her own story. I just can´t understand why they chose such a terrible cover...
