With the Weekly Book Wrap-Up, I give you a bit of an insight into all the new books that have arrived at my place. No matter if I won a giveaway, got approved for a reviewer´s copy, an ARC, or just bought one myself. Everything that I add to my shelves, in what way ever and read during the past week or am still reading, I will write about it.  And maybe I tell you a bit about the upcoming things on Inkvotary, that is if I don´t forget it and have something to share with you *smile*

I am linking up with Tynga´s Reviews and Caffeinated Reviewer and hope you´ll have fun reading it and maybe get the one or the other book inspiration.

Stacking The Shelves #131

Sunday Post #88

Although I am on vacation, I cannot really enjoy it so far. I had planned on doing some day trips but spent the past week mostly at home. I wanted to do some yard work and did that but quickly realized that it needs way more work and time than expected. If I want to turn the wilderness of backyard into a blooming place with green grass. It will take much longer to get a spot clean to replant the lilies and peonies we have in the front yard than I thought.

On Thursday I was on the phone with my dad. We talked about gardening, ripping out weeds, nettle, and other stuff and he gave me some advice to handle things without having to use chemical stuff. And my book order arrived. Every year I buy myself a birthday gift in form of a book. Kind of a tradition…

For the first time since I am doing the Sunday Post, I am struggling to find the right words here. It is Saturday morning at six o´clock and I just learned the sad news that RBG has died on Friday.

I am shocked, sad and to be honest, cannot believe it. She was an Icon. One, I thought, would still be here next year. It is as if 2020 hasn´t had enough terrible things already. Can we please fast-forward the year and jump into a, hopefully, better 2021?

Best wishes to you all!

  1. Good luck with the yard. It's great your dad has some knowledge to share. I was never one for gardening, though I admire the amazing things those green thumbs can do. What a nice tradition getting a book for your birthday. Hope it's a good one.

    1. Thank you. It is always nice to talk with my dad about garden stuff. Some of his advice you can´t find in a book. Thank you for your visit.

    1. I will not have my dream garden here at this house. The garden is not mine. All I do is cleaning out everything for fall and winter. Thank you for stopping by.

  3. I am crushed about RGB. I am slowly learning and working on my yard stuff. It's not that it's wild but the grass is full of weeds so I keep it short. I'm adding food and herb garden, and lots of different flowers. It will take time to do all the things I have in mind though. I'm glad you could enjoy your time even without trips.

I’m the worst at gardening, we just mainly have trees and dead grass lol

Wishing you a great reading week

    1. Well, I have some dead trees and lots of dead grass here too. But a law in Germany says I am not allowed to dig all the dead tree trunks out before October. So it is only getting rid of all the weeds and other stuff. Thank you for your visit.

  5. That's a great birthday tradition. Hope you have a great birthday, by the way. And that the book is good. :) And have a good vacation as well!

I'm sorry to see that about RBG as well. Such an incredible woman.

  6. I’m sad about RBG too. She really was an icon. Good luck with the gardening! My yard is such a disaster that I try not to look at it. Have a good week.
