With the Weekly Book Wrap-Up, I give you a bit of an insight into all the new books that have arrived at my place. No matter if I won a giveaway, got approved for a reviewer´s copy, an ARC, or just bought one myself. Everything that I add to my shelves, in what way ever and read during the past week or am still reading, I will write about it. And maybe I tell you a bit about the upcoming things on Inkvotary, that is if I don´t forget it and have something to share with you *smile*

I am linking up with Caffeinated Reviewer and Reading Reality and hope you´ll have fun reading it and maybe get the one or the other book inspiration.

Stacking The Shelves #167

No new books.

Sunday Post #124

The past week was kind of a busy one. Last Sunday I put my list of books I wanted to request from a German publisher together and spent almost all Sunday looking through the website and book recommendations from the publisher.

On Monday, my list was finished, and on Tuesday I received the approval for all my requests. Tuesday was also a quiet day. I did everything to distract myself from my dentist appointment on Wednesday morning where step two in fixing my broken tooth went underway. Back home I did some cover research for my upcoming reviews and went to the supermarket to get me some food I can eat while having a transitional prosthesis in my mouth.

Thursday, I took the day off. Slept long, went to town to get some banking stuff done, and later to the supermarket for fresh veggies. I also bought a sage plant for the garden. I placed a book request for Before the Crown and started to look for all the upcoming new releases Random House publishes later in the summer, fall, winter, and spring. Around eleven pm I stopped looking for new books. I had to get up early the next morning for my third dentist appointment.

Friday was a busy day. I had another dentist appointment in the morning. This time they took some dental impressions, and now the dental technician is doing his (hopefully great) job. I will find out in about two weeks from now. After the appointment, I took some time off. My father got his second jab that day and I talked with my stepmom about how it had been for him. We all are happy that they both are now fully vaccinated and are counting the days until they are fully immune. In the afternoon, I went into the garden to do some garden work. Later in the evening I finished my search for new releases and wrote my list of books I want to request. And noticed that I had missed many new releases over the past months. Now, I feel like I have awakened from a deep slumber. To be honest. While others started reading like crazy during the pandemic, I did the opposite.

Saturday was again a quiet day. I started cleaning the garden from all the damage the severe rainstorms during the week had caused. I had to cut down some of them and noticed also that some of my plants had been destroyed on purpose by hand. Which makes me furious. Who does that?!

Today, Sunday, I slept long. During the afternoon I looked for covers, started to write some new reviews, and tried to ignore the loud voice I hear all day from downstairs. Grrr ….

And to all those who celebrate it: happy 4th of July! I hope you can enjoy the day and that you will not come out of it with an infection.

How was your week? Stay safe and healthy.

Happy reading

  1. I've been reading less during the pandemic too! I thought I was the only one so now I feel a little better.

    1. That is good to hear. I thought the same. Guess we both have our own way to deal with this pandemic.

  3. Congrats on all your approvals! I'm like you---the pandemic made me read less, not more. Hope it turns around soon!

It's the 4th here but I'm staying mostly low key... I have no desire to get sick again and just got over something nasty so I'm over that lol.

    1. Dito. I have no interest in getting a second time infected with covid. One was definitely enough.
