is a weekly event that was originally hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine. This meme is a place that spotlights upcoming releases that we´re eagerly anticipating with pure joy. There are a lot of new books coming out each year and some of them catch my attention and will get a spotlight in my Waiting on Wednesday post. While some of them will finally end up here at my place, others won´t. I am joining Tressa at Wishful Endings and her meme Can´t-Wait Wednesday.

I was absolutely thrilled when I read the author´s Fire & Flood dilogy and so I am very curious to find out how this new book of her will be. The English edition “Titans” was already released in 2016 but the German edition is supposed to get published in early February. Let´s see if the writing style can fascinate me in the same way as her Fire & Flood books were able to.

A girl risks everything on the racetrack to save her family from ruin.

Ever since the “Titans” appeared in Astrid Sullivan´s neighborhood, her entire life has revolved around the fascinating steel racehorses. Astrid spends hours watching the jockeys and their horses' train, even though her father gambled away all the family´s money betting. When Astrid gets the opportunity to ride a titan herself, she jumps at it immediately. Because a win would save everyone she loves from financial ruin. But not everyone survives the races … (Personal translation by ©Vi at Inkvotary).
