With the Weekly Book Wrap-Up, I give you a bit of an insight into all the new books that have arrived at my place. No matter if I won a giveaway, got approved for a reviewer´s copy, an ARC, or just bought one myself. Everything that I add to my shelves, in what way ever and read during the past week or am still reading, I will write about it. And maybe I tell you a bit about the upcoming things on Inkvotary, that is if I don´t forget it and have something to share with you *smile*

I am linking up with Caffeinated Reviewer and Reading Reality and hope you´ll have fun reading it and maybe get the one or the other book inspiration.

Stacking The Shelves #194

No new books this week.

Sunday Post #151

The first week of the new year 2022 felt like living under a heavy curtain. The weather forecast had predicted some heavy snowfall and some rain combined with freezing cold air for the past week. Well, Monday and Tuesday it rained a lot, and it was warm. Too warm for the season. So, of course, no snow.

On Wednesday I got my booster jab and had a very interesting talk with my doctor. About viruses in general, Sars-Cov-2 especially and how the vaccine situation is right now in Germany. We talked about the virus situation in South Africa because we have a kind of heated discussion going on in the country about a compulsory vaccine (Germany has so far two. One for measles and the other one for pox) and why Germany isn´t ready for the endemic situation. For the next two and a half days the puncture site was a bit sore, and some moves hurt, but that was ok.

The rest of the week was back to normal. I enjoyed a somehow quiet Epiphany on Thursday and when I woke up Friday morning, I noticed that we had a thin white layer of snow outside. It snowed most of the day and was cold. I had to take on my snow boots and a warm winter coat for my trip to the local supermarket to see if I could get some fresh veggies and fruits. I was partly successful.

Saturday was again a cold day, but the snow is already gone and despite the weather forecast telling us that we would have heavy snowfall all Saturday long, there was no snow in sight. Instead, we had a sunny day. Cold, but sunny. Ah well …

How was your week? Stay safe and healthy.

Happy reading

  1. Same for us with not much snow when they predicted we would have several inches. Oh well, that's the crazy winter we have! Have a good week!

  2. I am glad you were able to get your booster shot and the side effects were mild. The weather here is starting to warm up a little and we've gotten a lot of sunshine. The snow doesn't often reach the area I live, but the mountains surrounding us got a nice covering of it. It makes for a pretty sight on the horizon. I hope you have a great week!

  3. I think we got all the snow. :) It was a like a snowpocalypse over here!

That's interesting about the vaccine situation. I'm always curious how other countries are handling this situation because it seems to me like the Us is handling it poorly.

Ooh you did end up getting some snow. Even if it didn't stay...

  4. I'm so glad you got your booster jab. You seem to have the swings in weather we had the past week too.

  6. Given the chaos Omicron has caused here I can pretty much guarantee without a really high booster rate it’s going to me a sh*tshow.
It’s just hot and muggy here, floods in the north but thankfully no bushfires …yet.

Wishing you a great reading week
