With the Weekly Book Wrap-Up, I give you a bit of an insight into all the new books that have arrived at my place. No matter if I won a giveaway, got approved for a reviewer´s copy, an ARC, or just bought one myself. Everything that I add to my shelves, in what way ever and read during the past week or am still reading, I will write about it. And maybe I tell you a bit about the upcoming things on Inkvotary, that is if I don´t forget it and have something to share with you *smile*

I am linking up with Caffeinated Reviewer and Reading Reality and hope you´ll have fun reading it and maybe get the one or the other book inspiration.

Sunday Post #163

The week started with a gorgeous Easter Monday. Blue skies, bright sunshine, and cold winds. I took a picture of the rosemary that is now blooming in front of the house. Last year in late March and almost through all of April, I´ve been in quarantine with Covid. I couldn´t smell or taste anything. This year, I enjoy whenever I walk by this blooming rosemary plant, its gorgeous odor. It just feels so good!

On Tuesday I was again in the garden. I wanted to find out if I can use a cylinder lawn mower before I go and buy one myself. I don´t like the mower the house has because it runs with gas. Well, let me put it this way. It took me almost four hours to mow half of the lawn with it. That item is great. No doubt about that. And if it would have worked the way I had hoped, I would have bought one. Unfortunately, the garden is not completely level, and with the three sorts of lawn and at least five different sorts of grass, no chance to run this kind of mower smoothly. But it was a great workout for my upper body *lol*

On Wednesday I bought a bottle of peach-flavored iced tea again after years. A chocolate advertisement with a glass of wonderfully decorated apple or peach ice tea made my mouth water. So, I grabbed a bottle in the drinks department. I would have preferred not to. The stuff tasted like a peach on crack. As if I was drinking anything but ice tea. Disgusting. I spent half of the afternoon pulling out all the different grass including the roots by hand. It took me two hours and while doing that I made plans for the garden.

The next day, Thursday, I went again to the supermarket in the morning, to get myself some cereals and other things. Later, it was time for the garden again. This time, I concentrated on the spot with all the nettle and ripped that out. The spot is now clean and ready for some fresh lawn.

On Friday, it was almost the same procedure. Supermarket in the morning, later some work in the garden where I ripped out the rest of the dang wild grass. I would be happy if I had taken out half of it for good.

Saturday, World Book Day. I didn´t do something special. After an almost sleepless night, I slept long and tried to read a bit.

Today, Sunday, it is grey and rainy. I slept long, watched a movie, downloaded, and edited some pictures for the blog, and wrote this post. I feel strange and a bit shaky. As if something unpleasant is coming up….

How was your week? Stay safe and healthy.

Happy reading

  2. Your garden is really shaping up to look good! My sage is blooming but not the rosemary yet. I have not much work to do in the garden as it is all planted in earlier years and they are perennials.
