With the Weekly Book Wrap-Up, I give you a bit of an insight into all the new books that have arrived at my place. No matter if I won a giveaway, got approved for a reviewer´s copy, an ARC, or just bought one myself. Everything that I add to my shelves, in what way ever and read during the past week or am still reading, I will write about it. And maybe I tell you a bit about the upcoming things on Inkvotary, that is if I don´t forget it and have something to share with you *smile*

I am linking up with Caffeinated Reviewer and Reading Reality and hope you´ll have fun reading it and maybe get the one or the other book inspiration.

Stacking The Shelves #213

No new book.

Sunday Post #170

Last Sunday I created new blog content, tried to read a book, visited some blogs, and simply enjoyed the day. Monday was the last day of the long Pentecost weekend. I didn´t do much. On Tuesday I paid some bills, rescheduled my dentist appointment, and then went into the garden to plant what was left of my seeding project. A bit of oregano, a few lupins (two you can see in the picture below - left upper corner and bottom right corner), forget-me-not, rosemary, and the last sage.

On Wednesday I managed to create a Waiting on Wednesday post and put it online. Took care of my household and tried to read my book.

On Thursday was another warm and sunny day. I went to the supermarket for some food and drink. In the late afternoon, I took care of the rose and the plant louse she was covered in. I sprayed some black tea on it and noticed that some true sea slugs had eaten my newly planted thyme and almost all the young herb seedlings. Well ….

The next morning, Friday, I slept long, went again to the supermarket for some other things I couldn´t get Thursday, and got lucky. Later in the afternoon, I worked again in the garden. With the growing temperatures and the sun shining all day the garden has become an oven during the day. I borrowed a spade from my neighbor and started digging out the rest of the nettle to prepare the spot for the new lawn.

After another sleepless night and some pain problems, I slept long on Saturday morning. Later I got the rest of the food and drinks I needed for the weekend. In the late afternoon, I started to take out the rest of the wild grass around the deck and made some progress there. Back upstairs I watched The Last Witch Hunter with Vin Diesel and Michael Caine. Somehow, I like that movie very much.

Today, Sunday, I enjoyed a quiet day. No yelling, no screaming the other neighbors like to do when they’re at home. I listened to an audio and went in the late afternoon downstairs to take some pictures. The rose looks great, with no plant louse in sight. Yay!

How was your week? Stay safe and healthy.

Happy reading

  1. I'm glad you know what to do to take care of your garden. It's going to be too hot this week here, around 100F/ 38C. I will try to water a bit at dinnertime so the plants don't shrivel up.

    1. Sometimes it helps, sometimes it doesn´t *sigh*. We will get the heat from Spain next week. I hope that the water in the rain barrel will be enough for the garden until the next rain comes...

  2. I haven't done a Waiting on Wednesday in ages...

The pics are nice. It does get hot in summer and can be hard to garden. Hope you're having a good day :)
