is a weekly event that was originally hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine. This meme is a place that spotlights upcoming releases that we´re eagerly anticipating with pure joy. There are a lot of new books coming out each year and some of them catch my attention and will get a spotlight in my Waiting on Wednesday post. While some of them will finally end up here at my place, others won´t. I am joining Tressa at Wishful Endings and her meme Can´t-Wait Wednesday.

Kristina Ohlsson doesn´t write in the typical Scandinavian style, most of those thriller and crime novels show. Her style is fresh from a unique point of view and with splendid psychological finesse. Good, I admit it, not all her work could convince me, but at least two of her books thrilled me while reading. And I hope that this new one will thrill me again. The summary sounds very promising and although the cover design isn´t what I call a good cover, it shouldn´t keep me from reading. It is the story between the two bookcases that matters, right?

Towering cliffs, creaking docks, picturesque red boathouses - and a murder.

A storm is approaching the sleepy town of Hovenäset. Two things happen that night when the storm descends on the idyllic Swedish west coast: the teacher Agnes disappears without a trace and a new resident turns up in Hovenäset. Stockholm resident August Strindberg has bought the local funeral home – complete with hearse – to open a thrift store. As August paints his new vehicle yellow to make his chilling abode more pleasant, he realizes that his house is central to Agnes' disappearance. He starts investigating on his own.
