With the Weekly Book Wrap-Up, I give you a bit of an insight into all the new books that have arrived at my place. No matter if I won a giveaway, got approved for a reviewer´s copy, an ARC, or just bought one myself. Everything that I add to my shelves, in what way ever and read during the past week or am still reading, I will write about it. And maybe I tell you a bit about the upcoming things on Inkvotary, that is if I don´t forget it and have something to share with you *smile*

I am linking up with Caffeinated Reviewer and Reading Reality and hope you´ll have fun reading it and maybe get the one or the other book inspiration.

Stacking The Shelves #227

No new books this week.

Sunday Post #184

My second week of vacation really feels like a vacation now. We had a mix of sun, clouds, wind, and rain. And lots of brown leaves on the ground. I picked as many chestnuts as I could find, some still within their prickly shell. Somehow, I am fascinated by their dark, rich, and shiny brown. Reminds me of Cognac. Guess, fall is here. I planted some last flowers, mowed the lawn, and took some pictures of the bushes and trees in the back garden. Hopefully, my landlady will give me permission to cut them back in shape. I am planning on using some of the cut wood for the flower bed in the front of the house. I also called my doctor to make an appointment for my annual flu shot and to get a new Ibuprofen prescription. I was quite surprised when I realized that the nurse had given me two appointments instead of one. Well, seems with the retirement of my old doctor some things have changed. Blunt said I am not happy with that.

On Monday the annual celebration of the fall of the wall is giving us a day off. But I don´t feel like celebrating. Not because the weather is typical fall weather. No, my head´s just not in the mood. The past week I tried to read, wrote some reviews, and did some blog-related stuff.

How was your week? Stay safe and healthy.

Happy reading

  3. Yay for vacation. I can't believe how fast we went from summer to fall weather. I like the fall weather so it's good. I even had to turn on the heat! I hope it's a good week for you.

  4. I can understand why you don't feel like celebrating, Vi. But having worked on the garden, I do hope you found it soothing and enjoyable. Ours is still basically a wilderness from when I was struggling with Long Covid - what with one thing and another, we still haven't got around to sorting it out! I hope the coming week leaves you feeling a bit brighter.

    1. Working in the garden and around the house is at the moment the only thing that keeps me sane. Besides reading. Glad you feel better *smile*
