With the Weekly Book Wrap-Up, I give you a bit of an insight into all the new books that have arrived at my place. No matter if I won a giveaway, got approved for a reviewer´s copy, an ARC, or just bought one myself. Everything that I add to my shelves, in what way ever and read during the past week or am still reading, I will write about it. And maybe I tell you a bit about the upcoming things on Inkvotary, that is if I don´t forget it and have something to share with you *smile*

I am linking up with Caffeinated Reviewer and Reading Reality and hope you´ll have fun reading it and maybe get the one or the other book inspiration.

Stacking The Shelves #231

No new books this week.

Sunday Post #188

A stressful and nerve-wracking week lies behind me. For almost two weeks now, my TV box isn´t working properly. A new software update from August literally killed my hardware. To find that out, I had to spend hours on the phone to get a customer agent on the phone. And it took me another four days to get one to talk about the solution I already knew and to get things started. Ugh!

To keep myself from screaming out loud I tried to read. A few pages but not enough to reach my goal of at least one read book for the Fraterfest Readathon. We see us next year …

Instead, I spent two hours mowing the lawn. I am still wondering if the grass is on speed or whatever drug because it is growing like hell. We are only two days away from starting November, but the garden looks as if it is still summer there.

The past few days we had great golden October weather. Bright sunshine, mostly blue skies, and it was warm. I went every day for my daily power walk and helped my elderly neighbor clean his garage and lift the empty beer crates into his trunk. His wife was so happy when I brought her the last nasturtium blossoms for her salad. Bright orange. Yummy.

Yesterday, Saturday, my new TV Box arrived. For me the signal to start watching the last few movies I still had left on my old receiver. A Simple Favor with Blake Lively, The Last Samurai with Tom Cruise, and Red Joan with Judy Dench. Monday is my day off and I hope that I will be able to install the new box without the help of technical support.

Today, Sunday, I slept long. The turning back of the clock at 3 am Saturday night was hopefully the last time I had to do it. Every year turning back to wintertime turns my day and night rhythm upside down and I need days to get back to a normal routine *sigh*

How was your week? Stay safe and healthy.

Happy reading

  1. That sounds so frustrating about the TV box. And the weather has been the same here. Lots of sunshine the last couple days for late Oct!

  2. I hope you are able to restore the box with no issues. I have a bunch of them but don't watch because I am almost always reading. My daughter watches a lot of stuff though.
