With the Weekly Book Wrap-Up, I give you a bit of an insight into all the new books that have arrived at my place. No matter if I won a giveaway, got approved for a reviewer´s copy, an ARC, or just bought one myself. Everything that I add to my shelves, in what way ever and read during the past week or am still reading, I will write about it. And maybe I tell you a bit about the upcoming things on Inkvotary, that is if I don´t forget it and have something to share with you *smile*

I am linking up with Caffeinated Reviewer and Reading Reality and hope you´ll have fun reading it and maybe get the one or the other book inspiration.

Stacking The Shelves #237

I had a new book in the mail. Thank you, Fischer TB for the nice surprise.

Sunday Post #194

We have got winter. The air is as chilly as it can get and during the night the temperatures go below zero. Saturday afternoon it started to snow, and during the night, more came down. Everything is now covered in a hint of snow, which gives the world a somewhat peaceful sight. I dug out the last soil around the dead bush and cut out some roots. It was a bit of a workout for me during the past three days and I am now done with the digging.

My Giga Box isn´t working properly yet and I am still waiting for the technical support to call me back or send me a text with further instructions or else. Hmm, not sure what to think about that. I also had to call DHL customer service to place my delivery complaint. After five tries online, always with a failure note, in the end, I finally called them. Although I am not sure if the young man understood what I want them to correct *sigh*

The good thing is, I finished The Atlas Six and started a new book. With that new read, I have only two more books left on my TBR for this year. I started baking and preparing for the Christmas holidays and New Year's Eve. I haven´t heard from my parents in over a month so not sure how the plans for the holidays will turn out. Sounds very cold, but it is common between my dad, my stepmom, and me. So, so far nothing to worry about. My last medical appointment for the year is done and I got the last medical test back with a negative result. And I was thinking about trying the Good Reads Librarian test again but haven´t done that yet.

My Christmas shopping is done, I got all the calendars (most of them free gifts from the drugstore and the bank) and the lavender is finally dry enough for the final harvest. And I started cleaning my kitchen. All the garden stuff I had there, will go into the attic for the winter. I am done with the dirt, dust, and disarray.

Today, Sunday, I lit three candles on my advents plate and enjoyed the smell of the tangerine peel I have standing on one of my bookshelves. Why throw it away when it smells so deliciously and costs me half the price the dried made for advent by the industry costs this year. Outside everything is coated in a hint of snow. It looks gorgeous and the atmosphere´s changed. Like no bad has ever happened. It is a peaceful feeling.

How was your week? Stay safe and healthy.

Happy reading

  2. You've had kind of a busy week. Snow is pretty but I'm not read for it yet. We don't get it usually until January or February and for only a couple days. We haven't figured out any of our holiday decorations or plans. But now that my daughter has finished with finals, maybe this week.

    1. I didn´t expect it to snow. My first thought was, that it is raining. Not sure if it will last or if we will have white Christmas...
