With the Weekly Book Wrap-Up, I give you a bit of an insight into all the new books that have arrived at my place. No matter if I won a giveaway, got approved for a reviewer´s copy, an ARC, or just bought one myself. Everything that I add to my shelves, in what way ever and read during the past week or am still reading, I will write about it. And maybe I tell you a bit about the upcoming things on Inkvotary, that is if I don´t forget it and have something to share with you *smile*

I am linking up with Caffeinated Reviewer and Reading Reality and hope you´ll have fun reading it and maybe get the one or the other book inspiration.

Stacking The Shelves #251

No new book.

Sunday Post #208

Last Sunday afternoon I had become a sore throat and took a Covid rapid test. The test was negative, but my head felt as if the sniffles were just around the corner. The new week started with a power outage Monday morning. Fifteen minutes without any electricity. It was eerily quiet.

Tuesday morning, I went again to the supermarket to get some groceries. I was able to buy some of the veggies and fruits I had wanted, but the rest of my list was still not available *sigh* I didn´t feel good but I didn´t feel sick either. A weird status… Am I now getting the flu or the sniffles or am I not? No clue.

On Wednesday I wrote and published a Waiting On Wednesday post. Kind of last minute. And then things went literally South. I started mowing the lawn in the back garden Thursday afternoon. And while doing that I discovered that right in the middle of the “lawn” a wood anemone was growing and two wild briers were. And with all the soaring prices, I thought I mark them with wooden sticks to make the replanting easier. I ripped out a huge pile of wild grass from the new flower bed and replanted one of the wild briers. And while I was busy digging a hole and getting the wild brier out of her old spot, the skies turned from sunny to grey and then it started to rain. I got the rose replanted within no time and went upstairs again.

My Friday was no fun day. I cared for my household, bought some fresh fruits and veggies, and later went down to finish the mowing. Back upstairs I took another Covid test because my chest felt the same as it did two years ago when I had the infection for the first time. The test was again, negative. But the feeling remains. I should have listened to my body. But after another restless night, I went for some last weekend shopping at the supermarket and after that again down in the garden to mow the rest of the grass. And that was probably no good idea. Now, I know better. Since Saturday night my voice is gone, my nose is running, and I feel like somebody has kicked me in my stomach. Anyway.

On the blogger front, I can say, I know that today is world book day. But I haven´t read a single page in the past week. I am reading the news on my tablet, yes, but did I read the book I am supposed to read? No. I have a bad feeling because of that and feel guilty about it. But somehow do not have the energy to change something. At least not at the moment.

And how was your week?

Happy reading
