With the Weekly Book Wrap-Up, I give you a bit of an insight into all the new books that have arrived at my place. No matter if I won a giveaway, got approved for a reviewer´s copy, an ARC, or just bought one myself. Everything that I add to my shelves, in what way ever and read during the past week or am still reading, I will write about it. And maybe I tell you a bit about the upcoming things on Inkvotary, that is if I don´t forget it and have something to share with you *smile*

I am linking up with Caffeinated Reviewer and Reading Reality and hope you´ll have fun reading it and maybe get the one or the other book inspiration.

Sunday Post #215

Since my last Sunday Post, my life has become very painful and emotional. My dad got released from the hospital and now lives in a special care home for people with dementia. And I have no clue how well he is or how bad. My stepmother has cut all ties. The once good relationship we´ve had is no longer existing.

My Giga TV Box was off for a few hours, and I had to call customer service. I was supposed to get a text with instructions on how to fix it. Well, that text never came, and I finally pulled the plug, waited ten seconds, and plugged it back in. Problem solved. I sowed a few more lupins in the front of the house and two more in the back garden and discovered that one from last year apparently survived. I have no idea what color it will be, but I'm really excited about its size.

I put together my book list for Fischer, a publisher I work very well together with. And within a few days, I had four books in the mail and now my pile is 8 books high, and don´t ask me about the pages they have combined *sigh*

I also got mail I had to deal with. And with no working printer in the house, I went to the next copy shop. Luckily, we have one in town, so I could walk there on foot. On the weather front, July is a mix of heat, very humid air, heavy rainstorms, and wonderfully cooler air *sigh*

And today, Sunday, I was up early. After another restless night, I was up every two hours and struggling with circulatory problems *argh*. If that keeps going on, I might need to think about moving into another apartment… One with air conditioning…

And how was your week?

Happy reading

  2. I'm sorry the last month has been so difficult. July and August are always hot here in North Carolina. I can't imagine without AC. The temperatures this year are the same but we have more rain. That's good for the garden but means more lawn mowing. I love seeing your photos.

    1. Most houses in Germany don´t have AC. And my apartment is old, so no AC *sigh* Here in BW summers are usually not very hot. Guess, that has changed now...
