With the Weekly Book Wrap-Up, I give you a bit of an insight into all the new books that have arrived at my place. No matter if I won a giveaway, got approved for a reviewer´s copy, an ARC or just bought one myself. Everything that I add to my shelves, in what way ever and read during the past week or am still reading, I will write about it.  And maybe I tell you a bit about the upcoming things on Inkvotary, that is if I don´t forget it and have something to share with you *smile*

I am linking up with Tynga´s Reviews and Caffeinated Reviewer and hope you´ll have fun reading it and maybe get the one or the other book inspiration.

Stacking The Shelves #78

Over the past days, I bought only two books. Guess that makes me a pretty decent girl. Good, it would be better if I DON´T buy any books, considering my huge TBR, but those two I just couldn´t resist. I´ve had them for far too long on my wishlist ...

Sunday Post #35

I am angry or better said beyond that. I am speechless now. Since yesterday I am thinking about throwing my Sodastream right out the window. Or better into the bin. For all those, who aren´t familiar with Sodastream: that is the company who sells those machines that let you make you your own sparkling water using the water right out of your faucet. Well, since the beginning of June now mine is standing on my kitchen counter – unused!

Not because I don´t want to drink homemade sparkling water, but because of the lack of carbonated cartridges. They are sold out. Nationwide. And all because the company decided at some point to change the system. That is nothing bad per se, but right before summertime? When you can expect some higher temperature or even heat and that people are drinking more? In Germany, almost every second household is using a Sodastream. I have mine several years now and never had any problem getting a new cartridge. Not even during the very hot spring and summer last year where we had one heatwave after the other from April to August. But now? The worst for me as a customer: the company´s reaction towards me or all the other customers in general. Over weeks all we´ve got was silence. Then lame excuses. The past three weeks, several supermarkets, including the one I go, were and still are offering a Sodastream package for sale. But the already existing customers are left hanging in the air.

FINALLY, a few days ago, the company announced on the radio that they were having some problems making those cartridges. And that customers were buying more cartridges which brought the company into trouble. Uh yes? Well, maybe we do that because we drink more when it is hot outside?

Guess what Sodastream.

It. Is. Summer.

Happy reading

  2. I heard they're having lots of trouble making carbonated beverages in general because of a CO2 shortage... I wonder if that's whats also affecting the soda stream cartridges? Still, how annoying for you! Fingers crossed supply resumes soon.

    1. Well, I still don´t know what the real reason was that Sodastream couldn´t deliver sooner, but in the meantime the problem got solved. Thanks for stopping by.

  3. Hmm, Sodastream doesn't seem to be handling THAT problem very well lol. I hope they get their act together!

  4. It sucks when companies brush aside customer complaints and ignore them. I am experiencing some issues myself and pathetic customer service of this company doesn't help. I hope you have found the cartridges you needed.

  5. Your Sodastream issues sound frustrating, my mother loves hers. I hope you find a cartridge soon, maybe try online from eBay or similar?

Have a great reading week, and stay cool!

    1. I love mine too. The thing was, the cartridges were sold out everywhere, nationwide. No chance to get them. But in the meantime my problem was solved and I have now two new ones. Happy. Thanks for stopping by.
