is a weekly event that was originally hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine. This meme is a place that spotlights upcoming releases that we´re eagerly anticipating with pure joy.

There are a lot of new books coming out each year and some of them catch my attention and will get a spotlight in my Waiting on Wednesday post. While some of them will finally end up here at my place, others won´t. I am joining Tressa at Wishful Endings and her meme Can´t-Wait Wednesday.

I have not even read Aurora Rising yet (it will be published in Germany somewhen in 2020) but with Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff responsible for the plot and story, you can´t do much wrong, can you?! They know how to get their reader´s attention. They know how to create fascinating characters and how to weave a haunting novel full of unexpected twists and turns. And when I saw the cover of book number 2 on Instagram, I was hooked. Who could resist those eyes? 😉

First, the bad news: an ancient evil – you know, your standard consume-all-life-in-the-galaxy-deal – is about to be unleashed. The good news? Squad 312 is standing by to save the day. They´ve just got to take care of a few small distractions first. Like the clan of gremps who´d like to rearrange their favorite faces. And the cadre of illegit GIA agents with creepy flowers where their eyes used to be, who´ll stop at nothing to get heir hands on Auri. Then there´s Kal´s long-lost sister, who´s not exactly happy to see her baby brother and has a Syldrathi army at her back. With half the known galaxy on their tails, Squad 312 has never felt so wanted. When they learn the Hadfield has been found, it´s time to come out of hiding. Two centuries ago, the colony ship vanished, leaving Auri as its sole survivor. Now, its black box might be what saves them. But time is short. And if Auri can´t learn to master her powers as a Trigger, the squad and all their admirers are going to be deader than the Great Ultrasaur of Abraaxis IV.

And what are you waiting for? Let me know your thoughts about this one or leave me the link to your WoW and I check it out.

Happy reading & waiting on

    1. You are welcome. Usually I am not much of a SciFi reader and therefore very curious if I will like this series.
