With the Weekly Book Wrap-Up, I give you a bit of an insight into all the new books that have arrived at my place. No matter if I won a giveaway, got approved for a reviewer´s copy, an ARC, or just bought one myself. Everything that I add to my shelves, in what way ever and read during the past week or am still reading, I will write about it.  And maybe I tell you a bit about the upcoming things on Inkvotary, that is if I don´t forget it and have something to share with you *smile*

I am linking up with Tynga´s Reviews and Caffeinated Reviewer and hope you´ll have fun reading it and maybe get the one or the other book inspiration.

Stacking The Shelves #132

I had two review copies in the mail. Thank you Fischer FJB and Penhaligon for the books.

Sunday Post #89

My yard work is done. At least for the moment. I got my annual flu shot appointment and the doctor had a look at one of my ankles who looks awful. An insect bite that probably happened while I was working in the wild corner of the backyard got infected and it looks like someone has beaten me up. So, no more work in the garden for me until that is healed. Hopefully, that will give me the time to read more and to get some of my overdue reviews finally done and published.

Tuesday I was officially at war with the new blogger editor. For me, it is no improvement at all. Sure, the design looks somehow fresh and modern, but why in God´s name would a company change something that worked perfectly for most of its users when the new thing is filled with issues and bugs that need to be fixed and is giving its users quite some headaches? Doesn´t make any sense to me. And to be honest, I don´t buy Google´s answer that they had to change the server. They have IT-experts working there for crying out loud! If they can´t create a working platform that doesn´t screw with a template code, who else can?!

It is frustrating! At least I know now that I have at first to create my new posts in the “compose new” mode and get all the color, highlighted parts, etc., and cover in before I switch to the “HTML view” to give the post its final look before I either schedule it or publish it right away. Blogging with Blogger is now complicated and no fun. At least not for the moment.

How was your week? Stay safe and healthy.

Happy reading

  1. I am so happy that I have a plugin allowing me to keep working with the old editor! I think I'll do it as long as I can as so many bloggers are complaining! I hope your ankle will heal nicely!

    1. I was able to switch back to the old Legacy Blogger for many months after Google/ Blogger made the announcement that they had big plans for a better Blogger platform. Well ... Thanks for your get-well wishes.

  2. Sorry to hear about your ankle. The dangers of working outdoors. It sounds like you got a lot accomplished, so gold star for you! Sorry to hear you have having trouble with the new Blogger. It has been ok for me. I made the switch back in May (?). I hope it becomes easier for you.

  4. I’m also struggling with new Blogger. It feels like they broke a bunch of stuff that was working fine before and didn’t fix any of the things that have been broken for years. It’s frustrating. I hope you enjoy your new books!

  5. Sorry about your ankle. Hope it gets better soon. I'm also struggling with Blogger's new system. It's hard to navigate around and I miss the old setup. Let's hope we both get used to this system!

  6. Blogger has been giving me no end of issues either lately. Ugh. And sorry to hear about your ankle! Hope you're feeling better soon. Insects are an annoyance, aren't they? There should be a rule- no biting. speaking of flu shots, I need to make arrangements to get one also.

Anyway hope you have a great new week!
