With the Weekly Book Wrap-Up, I give you a bit of an insight into all the new books that have arrived at my place. No matter if I won a giveaway, got approved for a reviewer´s copy, an ARC, or just bought one myself. Everything that I add to my shelves, in what way ever and read during the past week or am still reading, I will write about it.  And maybe I tell you a bit about the upcoming things on Inkvotary, that is if I don´t forget it and have something to share with you *smile*

I am linking up with Tynga´s Reviews and Caffeinated Reviewer and hope you´ll have fun reading it and maybe get the one or the other book inspiration.

Stacking The Shelves #133

I had a review copy in the mail. Thank you to Blanvalet for the nice surprise. Below you see the US edition and the German edition. They look quite different.

Sunday Post #90

Yesterday Germany celebrated its 30th anniversary of the German Reunification and today we celebrate Thanksgiving. Today is also my last day of vacation and it feels weird. I had to think all week to get my food and drink for the long weekend in time and decided to do that Thursday afternoon. Well, I wasn´t the only one who had that thought *smile* The place was filled with people and it was not easy to keep a social distance. Well …

The wasp nest we had all summer hanging in the attic is now gone. I took it down earlier this month but forgot to write about it. I share some pictures with you in case you have not seen the inside of such a nest yet.

On Friday afternoon I went down to the garden to make some further progress. I need to get that peony from the front yard out and moved to the backyard before nights become chilly. I simply don´t trust the new neighbor who wants to remodel the entire backyard and apparently has no clue what he is talking about when it comes to gardening or some laws Germany has concerning plants and doing garden work. The good thing is, I can already see the progress I am making and that is quite satisfying.

I managed to read a bit and do some blogging, but my day-night-routine is completely off the charts. It is frustrating because I am not only way behind with my reading but also with creating new blog content (despite having tons of ideas). The new blogger is still giving me some headaches and my household looks like a mess. Literally. And with the rainy weather forecast, I am not sure if I will get the garden things done in time.

Other than that, I am not very successful. I am dead tired, feel like drained from all the energy I once had en masse and if I don´t go out every day for a long walk I don´t feel good. Crazy world …

How was your week? Stay safe and healthy.

Happy reading

  1. Yeesh...I'm actually terrified of wasps nests. I'm always afraid of wasps getting into the house because of the nests being nearby. Hope you have a great week!

    1. As long as the wasps were flying and crawling around it I avoided going near it too and we had the attic locked. In September I finally found the time to check if it was really empty and was able to take it down. Hope that´s the end of the story.

  2. I hope you had a good vacation! I’m glad the wasp nest is gone. I wouldn’t want that in my house. Happy October!

  3. I hope you have a better week / month ahead. The weather is perfect here now and I am into project mode. But this weekend I'm feeling more tired and overwhelmed. My reading is a comfort - it looks like you are starting to get the winter / Christmas books. Good work on the back garden and good luck with it. It' a process.

    1. Yes, I am reading some winterly/ Christmas books at the moment. We have now mostly cold nights. Not freezing yet but I guess that will come soon enough. I hope I can share some before and after pics in my next Weekly Book Wrap-Up post. Thank you for your visit.

  5. I hope you can get some rest and feel better soon. Do you do anything for Thanksgiving? That nest is terrifying. Glad it's gone.

    1. Thanksgiving in Germany is more a kind of going-to-church kinda thing where people, mostly school classes and kids from the kindergarten and their parents, bring fruits and veggies and lay it down in front of the altar. I don´t do that anymore but remember the time when I was doing it with my parents *smile*
