With the Weekly Book Wrap-Up, I give you a bit of an insight into all the new books that have arrived at my place. No matter if I won a giveaway, got approved for a reviewer´s copy, an ARC, or just bought one myself. Everything that I add to my shelves, in what way ever and read during the past week or am still reading, I will write about it. And maybe I tell you a bit about the upcoming things on Inkvotary, that is if I don´t forget it and have something to share with you *smile*

I am linking up with Tynga´s Reviews and Caffeinated Reviewer and hope you´ll have fun reading it and maybe get the one or the other book inspiration.

Stacking The Shelves #152

I was a good girl. No new books.

Sunday Post #109

Last Sunday I asked online for my absentee vote. It arrived Wednesday. On Monday evening one of my teeth cracked while eating dinner, so tomorrow I will have to go to the dentist. Not happy about that. Ugh!

The only thing that made me happy was the beautiful weather we are having since Thursday. The last snow is gone, and the sun feels so good. Good, it is only warm while being in the sun. But the feeling it gives me is just wonderful. For the second time within a few weeks, we have some Saharan sand in the air. Only this time we don´t see the yellow and dusty skies we could watch a few weeks ago when it happened for the first time.

I talked to my parents to see how they are doing. My dad loves to walk and with the help of his rollator now he has become a keen walker. You can imagine how thrilled my stepmom and I are about that.

This year, we had no big “Alaaf” or “Helau” because we had no carnival going on. TV aired some old shows from last year and the years before and there were some digital shows. But nothing big or on the streets. It was strange and I felt sorry for the kids. I saw them in costumes at the supermarket and occasionally on the street, but it was not the same as last year. And with the news, that some other major events this year got cancelled again because of the uncertain virus situation, this year will be again, without any bigger events.

The only positive thing is, we are now back to our “normal restrictions”. Our incidence rate isn´t as high anymore as it had been in November or December last year, which was enough reason for our local government to lift the curfew restrictions. No quiet nights anymore *sigh* but yay for a bit more freedom.

How was your week? Stay safe and healthy.

Happy reading

  1. The weather is similar here. It is a bit closer to spring like. The sun is out, but the wind is cold. I have been trying to get out in the garden to soak up some of the sun. It feels amazing.
I hope all works our well with your tooth.

  2. Yay for nicer weather and less restrictions so you can walk outside a bit more. We have been rainy but are supposed to have some nice days this week. I look forward to walking with Lulu and grilling.

  3. Sorry about your tooth and I hope your trip to the dentist isn't too painful! Glad that you have seen some sunshine - we haven't had much, but at least that easterly has stopped blowing so it isn't so perishing cold. I'm also pleased to hear your father is coping well with his walks. I hope the coming week is a good one, Vi.
