With the Weekly Book Wrap-Up, I give you a bit of an insight into all the new books that have arrived at my place. No matter if I won a giveaway, got approved for a reviewer´s copy, an ARC, or just bought one myself. Everything that I add to my shelves, in what way ever and read during the past week or am still reading, I will write about it. And maybe I tell you a bit about the upcoming things on Inkvotary, that is if I don´t forget it and have something to share with you *smile*

I am linking up with Caffeinated Reviewer and Reading Reality and hope you´ll have fun reading it and maybe get the one or the other book inspiration.

Stacking The Shelves #191

I had two books in my mail. Thank you, Fischer TB, and Blanvalet for the nice surprise.

Sunday Post #148

The past week was filled with further Christmas preparations. Monday through Thursday I was literally running around to get food, drinks, and other stuff that was on sale for Christmas eve as well as New Year’s Eve. I also rescheduled my vaccination appointment from early February 2022 to early January 2022. On Friday I finally found the time to put my Advents plate up on the table. I don´t use a wreath but a terracotta plate instead with a lot of golden sand on it and tealights as candles. In the middle is a little snowman dressed as Nikolaus and some cinnamon sticks. But to be honest, I am not in a festive mood.

And the weekend, well. Saturday night to Sunday Morning I barely slept. Today I tested myself in the early morning hours (thank God negative) and a few hours later, my stepmom picked me up. And from there, things went literally south. Guess, the only one who was able to enjoy his birthday was my father.

In the late afternoon, I got picked up by a longtime friend and we had a very interesting conversation about Covid and some stuff I never heard on public TV or the news. Now, I am exhausted, tired, and totally empty and want nothing more but to be for myself and get a good night of dreamless sleep.

How was your week? Stay safe and healthy.

Happy reading

  1. Well I hope you have a happy holiday with plenty of rest and relaxation. It will just be the two of us and we plan to be extra careful over the next couple months.

    1. Guess, I will. This year I will be at home and just doing nothing but reading or watching TV. The rest of the year will hopefully be quiet. There will be no fireworks because all shops in Germany didn´t get the legal permission to sell it to their customers.

  2. Happy birthday to your father but I'm sorry if there were issues. I hope you are well and that you have a nice holiday. I hope you get that good night of dreamless sleep. :)

I've been running around trying to get everything ready too. I love Christmas but will be glad when everything settles down!

    1. Thank you, Greg. I feel better now but am still a bit in shock about what had happened. The weeks before Christmas are always the worst *smile* Getting everything together, gifts, food etc. nothing but stress *smile* Take care and happy holidays.
