With the Weekly Book Wrap-Up, I give you a bit of an insight into all the new books that have arrived at my place. No matter if I won a giveaway, got approved for a reviewer´s copy, an ARC, or just bought one myself. Everything that I add to my shelves, in what way ever and read during the past week or am still reading, I will write about it. And maybe I tell you a bit about the upcoming things on Inkvotary, that is if I don´t forget it and have something to share with you *smile*

I am linking up with Caffeinated Reviewer and Reading Reality and hope you´ll have fun reading it and maybe get the one or the other book inspiration.

Stacking The Shelves #198

Again. No new books.

Sunday Post #155

Monday and Tuesday I was busy writing some reviews, played a bit with plants and color arrangements for the upcoming garden season, and managed to reschedule my Mammography appointment to Mid-March. I just feel much better going there when we are past the top of the Omicron wave we are currently going through.

Wednesday, we had a gorgeous day weatherwise. Bright sun, blue skies and I was able to see the moon around noon. It felt fantastic though it was bitter cold. I went for my daily power walk and the fresh air in my lungs just felt great. I went into the garden to take some pictures from the blooming Christmas roses.

When I had to replant and part them last year, I didn´t expect them to bloom. And because of the fact, that I had totally forgotten to label them with the color they have, I had no clue what color I planted where.

Turns out, I´ve been a lucky girl. Purple and white are in the right spot. Okay, the moody looking plain soil isn´t the perfect background for them, and I get dirty shoes every time I walk in that part of the garden. But I am happy that they are in full bloom. Thinking about sawing there some more grass but so far, I am not sure about that.

Thursday and Friday the weather was the total opposite to Wednesday. Cloudy skies, a bit rainy and freezing cold. I continued reading my current read, the deadline is long overdue, and I have still a few hundred pages to go.

Saturday I was at home. I watched one of my neighbors, cutting his plum tree. The tree isn´t producing any plums and it was interesting to see how he took the tree down. Other nationals, other ways of doing things. We had, again, great weather but I was too lazy to go down and do some garden stuff. The picture of what I want to do there next, isn´t really ready. But I am going there.

Today, Sunday, Germany got a new president. The old one got re-elected for five more years and I couldn´t agree more with the outcome of the voting. And it looks as if the corona numbers are going down. For the first time in almost three months, the incidence rate is going down, and I hope it stays that way.

How was your week? Stay safe and healthy.

Happy reading

  1. The Christmas roses look like my Hellebore which are blooming which I think was called Lenten Rose on its tag. I love seeing them. The weather is really up and down this time of year. When it's cold I like to stay home and read or computer, and when it's nice I like to get out to walk and do yard work. I hope this week is a good one.

    1. I am reading most of the time, these days. The soil in the garden is still too wet to work in the garden. Hope that will change soon.

  2. Gorgeous! I feel on another planet, with still so much snow around (Illinois). Have a great week.

    1. We have freezing cold nights and cold winds but sun and blue skies during the day. Anything but normal for this time of year.
