With the Weekly Book Wrap-Up, I give you a bit of an insight into all the new books that have arrived at my place. No matter if I won a giveaway, got approved for a reviewer´s copy, an ARC, or just bought one myself. Everything that I add to my shelves, in what way ever and read during the past week or am still reading, I will write about it. And maybe I tell you a bit about the upcoming things on Inkvotary, that is if I don´t forget it and have something to share with you *smile*

I am linking up with Caffeinated Reviewer and Reading Reality and hope you´ll have fun reading it and maybe get the one or the other book inspiration.

Stacking The Shelves #209

No new book this week.

Sunday Post #166

Last Sunday I started a kitchen project. I took some egg boxes, filled them with seed soil, and set in each egg spot one herbal seed. I know that I am very late with the seeding project, but I didn´t dare start my seeding project in March or April because my kitchen was just too cold.

Monday and Tuesday I was busy writing texts, editing pictures, and doing some blogging stuff. Usually, around this time of year, we have either snow and freezing temperatures or no snow but freezing nights. This year? Warm nights and hot days with temperatures around thirty above zero. It is insane! I am completely out of balance, weatherwise, and think all the time it is May, it is May. We are still having May *lol*

On Wednesday I felt so angry after a fruitless conversation that I went to the garden to cut the grass by hand around the terrace and the space I take care of. Usually, a matter of two hours. Apparently, I had so much steam to get rid of that it was done within no time *hihi* Afterward I felt so much better!

The next two days, Thursday and Friday were quiet days. I didn´t do much except for reading, getting some laundry done, and walking to the supermarket for some veggies, fruits, salt, and noodles. Well, forget the noodles. As well as the salt. Empty shelves *sigh*

Later, back home, I worked on my plans for the garden and took some more pictures of my peony. She has grown into a huge bush with 20 buds. Some of them are already in bloom. Looks gorgeous.

I completely overslept on Saturday and with that, I could throw my time schedule out the window. After a quick start, I went to town to the bank, then I walked back home, took my shopping trolley, and went to the supermarket for food, drinks, and the other things I couldn´t buy yesterday. It was incredibly empty. Well, I am not complaining *lol*

Then it was off to the garden. The faded spring flowers had to be cut, there was cinnamon for the ants and the weeds had to go. And I saw that some calendula (marigold) is already in bloom. Looks wonderful besides the forget-me-not. Although they are already fading. After that, the ivy around the fir tree had to take its toll – gosh how I hate that plant! So invasive and to be honest, I can´t see it anymore. Back upstairs I replaced the old broken fly screens with new ones. Let’s hope they will last for the summer…

After an almost sleepless night (thanks to one of my loud neighbors) I woke up to another sunny and warm day (Sunday) filled with a tweeting concert. No clue what birds are making the noise but it sounds nice.

How was your week? Stay safe and healthy.

Happy reading

  1. I love your garden pics. And I think it's neat that you're close enough to town to walk in to get what you need. I'd love to do that.

Hope your weekend is a good one!

    1. Thank you. I live in a "small" town, Greg. Except for a few places, everything is within walking distance. Keeps me fit and slim *smile*

  2. You are having lovely flowers. My peonies are in their second year now, no sign of buds or flowers yet. We are having supply issues with some things but I am surprised at how much empty shelves you have. I hope this next week is better for you.

  3. No new books? I'm impressed. My week was mostly quiet except for Saturday, when I did a mud run. That was lots of fun.

    1. A mud run? Never did that in my life but it sounds fun for sure.
