With the Weekly Book Wrap-Up, I give you a bit of an insight into all the new books that have arrived at my place. No matter if I won a giveaway, got approved for a reviewer´s copy, an ARC, or just bought one myself. Everything that I add to my shelves, in what way ever and read during the past week or am still reading, I will write about it. And maybe I tell you a bit about the upcoming things on Inkvotary, that is if I don´t forget it and have something to share with you *smile*

I am linking up with Caffeinated Reviewer and Reading Reality and hope you´ll have fun reading it and maybe get the one or the other book inspiration.

Stacking The Shelves #210

Sunday Post #167

Last Sunday I visited some blogs, created new blogging content, took care of the seeding project, and read a book. In the early hours of Monday morning, I started watching the Super Moon. It was a great experience, watching the moon change with my own eyes. The pictures I took weren´t as great. Sorry, no pictures here.

All week long we had weatherwise a mix of sun, warm if not hot temperatures, and a bit windy. The rain that was supposed to come down, didn´t show up and I started wondering how things will be in summer. Below you can see the peony before the storm.

For Thursday and Friday, we got a severe weather warning. So I went down Thursday afternoon to take some last “before” pictures. I was right in time because the show started after I was back upstairs. Within minutes all I could see outside was a grey wall of rain. The result: some damaged flynets and my peony got hit. The picture below shows the peony after the storm hit her.

After a busy day cleaning up the mess the storm had left, I went to the supermarket Saturday morning. On my way there I saw the damage; the storm had caused. I had to step across some broken branches, and the small river wasn´t that small anymore. Later, I worked a few hours and in the early afternoon, I took care of the lilac. He is already faded, and it took me about an hour to cut the huge bush. In the end, I´ve had a nice workout and stretching…

How was your week? Stay safe and healthy.

Happy reading

  3. Yes, the weather has been kind of crazy here too. I read about a tornado or something like it in Germany? Crazy.
Have a great week and happy reading.

    1. Yes, there was one a bit further north from where I live. I saw the damaged houses and roofs on TV. It is terrible to see how everything looks now.

  4. Urg! Your poor peony! The before and after pics certainly gave vivid evidence as to just how severe it was. Let's hope you don't have too many of those to deal with. Yes... it's always sad when lilacs finally fade - they not only look fantastic, but they smell delicious too. I hope you're having a great week and many thanks for swinging by:).

    1. Last year, the lilac was in bloom almost three weeks. This year it was only a one week pleasure.
