With the Weekly Book Wrap-Up, I give you a bit of an insight into all the new books that have arrived at my place. No matter if I won a giveaway, got approved for a reviewer´s copy, an ARC, or just bought one myself. Everything that I add to my shelves, in what way ever and read during the past week or am still reading, I will write about it. And maybe I tell you a bit about the upcoming things on Inkvotary, that is if I don´t forget it and have something to share with you *smile*

I am linking up with Caffeinated Reviewer and Reading Reality and hope you´ll have fun reading it and maybe get the one or the other book inspiration.

Stacking The Shelves #226

No new books this week.

Sunday Post #183

My birthday, Monday, started with a piece of chocolate cake and a happy birthday cheer to myself around midnight. After a few hours of sleep, I went to the supermarket in the early morning hours and back home had some oats, fruits, and the first espresso of the day. I watched the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II – the longest I have ever seen. Somehow, I felt connected to the British people and the royal family although I am not a royalist. It was a bittersweet day for me...

On Tuesday I was completely tired. Didn´t do much that day except for reading a book and in the late evening, I went for a long walk. My body needed movement, and the brisk air helped me get my head clear again.

The next day, on Wednesday, I had again a day where I didn´t do anything but relax. On Thursday kind of the same. Only this time it was the opposite. I woke up early, took care of my household, and went later into the garden to mow the lawn and use some fertilizer to get rid of the mushrooms and some weeds. My order from a new-to-me clothing company arrived and within minutes I saw that it will go back. Sad, but I am not willing to pay that amount of money for such poor quality. I went to bed early and had on Friday again what I call a black day. Ah well …

Saturday I was up early which made me almost angry. I`m on vacation, for heaven’s sake! Why am I up so early? I went to the supermarket to get my weekend things done before it became too crowded and later wrote some reviews, edited some other texts, and went to bed in the late afternoon. Of course, the result was that I was up today, Sunday, very early. Again. Ugh!

How was your week? Stay safe and healthy.

Happy reading

  1. I have used the clothing companies before that send boxes of styles they pick out for you. Most of the time it went back, though I occasionally found a nice piece. Not once did I accept everything. Here's my SP: https://bonniereadsandwrites.com/2022/09/25/sundaypost-precious-memories/

  2. I'm glad you got to relax some on your vacation even though it wasn't by sleeping late. Here's to a better week next week.

  4. I hate waking up early when I'm on vacation! that's not right lol! Hope you had a nice birthday though. :)

I feel the same way about the Queen- for some reason I think a lot of us were moved by her even if we're not British or necessarily all that royalist.
