With the Weekly Book Wrap-Up, I give you a bit of an insight into all the new books that have arrived at my place. No matter if I won a giveaway, got approved for a reviewer´s copy, an ARC, or just bought one myself. Everything that I add to my shelves, in what way ever and read during the past week or am still reading, I will write about it. And maybe I tell you a bit about the upcoming things on Inkvotary, that is if I don´t forget it and have something to share with you *smile*

I am linking up with Caffeinated Reviewer and Reading Reality and hope you´ll have fun reading it and maybe get the one or the other book inspiration.

Stacking The Shelves #257
I “bought” a book with some of my collected bonus points.

Sunday Post #214

The last three weeks have gone by in a blink. And I have no clue how I went through the days. Anyway.

Due to the very hot weather, we´ve had all week long, I tried to go early in the morning to buy some fresh veggies and fruits. Well, I wasn´t the only one who thought so. On Wednesday, we had for about half an hour a power outage. Great! The next day, I wrote and put a review online. The weather was supposed to be very rainy, and humid, and we had a severe storm warning. Well, it WAS humid. But no rain or severe storms in my area.

Friday morning, I took care of some paperwork and got everything ready for a new application. Later I went into the front garden and planted some new roses, and lavender, and got the first lupins into the soil. I went to bed early that day due to the hot weather. I was so exhausted.

And on Saturday, after my daily morning trip to the supermarket, I planted the last rosemary, and lavender for this year. I am curious, if and how they will grow. The rest of the day I was kind of busy taking care of my household and I started reading Gameshow. I started thinking about writing some posts about the dementia my father is suffering from. What do you think about that? I know my blog is mainly about books, but I thought, that I don´t have the time to run two blogs. This one is already time-consuming enough and currently more of a burden than a pleasure.

And today, Sunday, after I went up very early (what the heck?!) I made my laundry, got my balcony ready for the summer, and wrote some reviews. It is still very hot, and I hope that the next week will bring some rain and cooler temperatures.

And how was your week?

Happy reading

  1. It's been raining a bit here this week which was great for the garden and lawn. This upcoming week looks hotter and probably less rain, but some. I think we all talk about our various personal things and hobbies in our Sunday post. My mom is also suffering dementia. She's 96 next month and doesn't remember us sometimes. We put up a poster in her room with pictures of a bunch of family so she can refer to them. It's hard. She gets bored but she's not able to do much physically and she's not a reader or tv watcher.

    1. I thought about a new post that is not part of the Sunday Post. But I am not really sure if that is suitable for a book blog...

  2. I think you should post about that if you want to. It might be nice to share and I'm sure other people would benefit from your experiences, since this is a problem many of us are facing now with aging parents. And I love lavender! We have some roses that ar finally blooming. :)

    1. I should cut the lavender, but refuse to do so because the garden would look less colorful after it *sigh* And it smells gorgeous in the garden with all the lavender.
