This is a Friday meme now hosted by Patricia of FiktiveWelten. Every week she asks a question that you can answer. Everyone who would like to participate, just answer her question, link to her blog, and write a comment under her post to let the others know that you are participating. The entire rules you can find here.
I haven´t done this in a while, since not every question was one I had an answer for. And for some questions, I had already planned my own post. But this week I found something I was typing spontaneously and so here is what I have to say about the despised genres. I actually have only one. Others I read only occasionally.
If I had to give it a name I would call myself a genre omnivore. But not entirely; you won´t find me reading in the horror area and if a romance novel becomes a way to kitschy and the pages start to drip of too much sugar-sweet stuff, I am out. There are so many good books out there, so many different writing styles and so many great authors that I just can´t make myself to read only one particular genre. I read whatever catches my interest and where I feel some connection when I look at the cover and then read the summary of it.
How is it about you?
Happy reading

Haha, great - I love the genre "Omnivore" ;o)
ReplyDeleteThat word really exists. Kind of means I am "eating everything" :-)
