Wild One, its original title, is again full of emotions, wonderful scenes, and heart. I liked it even better than the first one, and that tells you something. My joy was immense when I saw that this novel was on its way to my place. If you know the first book then you do know that with this series is a light one. Yes, there are some small dramas in it, but nothing that brings a heaviness into the novel.

Kat Parker thought she´d finally escaped being known as the housekeeper´s daughter in the class-obsessed polo town of Wellington, FL. With her first blockbuster screenplay, she´d become the Hollywood It girl – until with one flop suddenly she wasn´t. Heading home is her only option. For Sebastian, everything in life has always come easily – wealth, sports, women. But the perennial party life is starting to feel a bit stale. Especially after meeting Kat. Her easy laughter and candid attitude make him aspire something more meaningful for the first time in his life. As Sebastian tells Kat stories of his grandmother Victoria, a woman who could be dripping in diamonds one moment and tearing up the polo field the next, Kat´s inspiration fires and soon the pair are back in Hollywood, working on a film together that could make or break both of their careers. And though the chemistry between the two is building, the film´s irresistible star has other ideas …
Story
Kat runs out of money. No job, no money, and Hollywood is expensive. She needs to take a time out to get back to what she loves: writing screenplays. But how to do that when you don´t have good ideas? When she meets Sebastian again she discovers a world besides the glamour, the money, and all the perfect beauty and knows right away that this is her chance.

Style
Wild One is wilder and in a bit darker tone written as the first book. But in a good way. There is the since years brewing rivalry between Sebastian and his elder brother. The roots for that lay in their childhood. And this novel tells us why. The scene where both go back to an old game they used to play as kids isn´t only very beautiful written but shows deep emotions you´d never expect to find in a novel like this. Don´t get me wrong, Wild One is the perfect read for the beach, balcony, or wherever you like to relax because besides all the dark and wild this book is exactly that: relaxing. An easy read where you don´t have to think. The language is pure melody and not like all the other novels mostly show. You can feel the passion that is behind every polo scene and that the author knows exactly what he´s talking about.

Characters
Kat is a tough cookie. She knows what she wants and she does everything to achieve it. That scene where she gets so angry over that producer´s behavior? Priceless! Beauty by nature she knows what men see when they look at her. And it bothers her. She wants to be seen and recognized for her work, and her work only. Not by how she looks. Easier said than done when she couldn´t land a real job after the fall out of her last screenplay. But when her family calls and needs help, she´s there. Remembering her childhood, meeting old friends and with Sebastian a man who is everything she´s not very fond of. But he touches a nerve deep inside her. And soon, keeping her fingers off of him is an undoable thing.

Conclusion
I read it in one single swoop. Could barely lay it aside to do something else. Wild One is emotion, passion, romance, and feelings all over the place. If you read the first book already, then this will be another thrill for you. And to be honest, during one scene I had tears running down my cheeks. Yep, happens to me too. For a nice summer day or night, the perfect book.

Happy reading
