With the Weekly Book Wrap-Up, I give you a bit of an insight into all the new books that have arrived at my place. No matter if I won a giveaway, got approved for a reviewer´s copy, an ARC, or just bought one myself. Everything that I add to my shelves, in what way ever and read during the past week or am still reading, I will write about it.  And maybe I tell you a bit about the upcoming things on Inkvotary, that is if I don´t forget it and have something to share with you *smile*

I am linking up with Tynga´s Reviews and Caffeinated Reviewer and hope you´ll have fun reading it and maybe get the one or the other book inspiration.

Stacking The Shelves #91

Sunday Post #48

The past week was a pretty uneventful one. I am still dealing with the change from summertime to normal time. Don´t know why it is giving me such a hard time this year, but it seems that I am in a huge crisis with myself lately. No good feeling, I can assure you. We went literally overnight from some sort of a golden Fall to a grey winterly wet weather and it is hard to adjust to that. It drives me nuts, but I am only half as productive as I´ve used to be. Don´t ask me how my household looks. For me, as a person who usually wants everything to be nice and clean, an awful situation. No, I don´t need to have my pens laying on my desk in a certain ankle and with an inch in between them, but some sort of order would be nice and right now I see none of it. As if all the energy I used to have got sucked out of me in an instant. The fun thing is that as soon as I am outside for a long walk or running some errands like grocery shopping, I feel fine and energetic. And that holds for the rest of the day. Guess, the cold, brisk air is doing me some good.

And another good thing is waiting for me today. I´ve recorded earlier Front Row with Mary Beard. This time she met Margaret Atwood and I am looking forward to watching it. Not exactly sure why that is, but listening to Margaret Atwood talking about life, her books, and other things, in general, is quite fascinating. And Mary Beard has a great way to talk with her interview partners about everything. Good, I don´t have The Handmaid´s Tale or The Testament at home, yet. But that is an easy thing to change, isn´t it?

I tried to read as much as possible for the HoHoHo Readathon but managed only to get one book done. Well one more off my TBR list, so I take that as a good sign.

Not sure, if I have already spoken about it but yesterday I realized, that I have not only accomplished my goal of reading 12 books borrowed from the library – which makes me a Dewey Decimal -, but also are with six more on the best way to reach the next level which is called Thrifty Reader. Wish me luck, guys *smile*

How was your week?

Happy reading

  1. I'm sorry you're feeling so bleak - it's a horrible feeling and one that right now, I can empathise with as I'm going through the same sorts of emotions... I loathe the cold weather and given the very wet weather we are currently enduring, perhaps that's the problem.

Congratulations on completing the library challenge - it's one that I have completely failed at so far this year and with not much of it left, it doesn't look as though I will succeed, so I'm admiring of your achievement. I hope the coming week is a better one for you, Vi.

    1. Thank you. The library love challenge was fun and to know that I´ve only counted those books, I haven´t at home in the original language, shows me, that I´ve borrowed way more than expected. Feeling so bleak is sh*t. Don´t like it at all. Thank you for your visit.

  2. Ooh, I haven’t seen that cover of Vicious. I love it! I hope the interview with Margaret Atwood is a good one. She’s my favorite author, so I watch her interviews whenever I can. Have a great week!

    1. So far I have only seen bits and pieces of it. But they were fantastic. She is a wonderful woman and I love listening to her voice. Thank you for stopping by.

  3. We had summer to winter without much autumn here this year also. It just got cold and dreary fast. It's supposed to be more fall - like this week. I covered the garden at night and I'm still eating produce from it. Congrats on your success with Library Love! Have a great week and happy reading!

    1. Ew, I know that feeling. There was a time when I had to get up before 5 am too and came back home late at night. Thankfully we have this time of year only for a few months. Happy reading and thanks for stopping by.

  6. You did better than I did with the HoHoHo! I didn't get to any holiday books, which I was afraid would happen, and sure enough- haha. Oh well. I hear you on cool brisk air too- I always feel better after being outside when it's brisk, although the rest of the wintry experience can go right away lol.

    anyway- have a good week!

    1. You mentioned it some time ago, but I thought it is only a joke. Well, next time. The brisk air is great and I guess I have to go very often for a run during the next weeks *smile* Thanks for your visit, Greg.

  8. I really enjoyed the HoHoHo RAT this year! I managed two: One ebook and one audiobook. I'd read a little over half of a second ebook but ended up finishing it after the readathon ended. Oh well!

Hope you have a good week!

    1. It was fun doing the HoHoHoRAT. Though I am not sure if I will participate next year too. Life became too crazy during the HoHoho and I need a free head to concentrate on a book.
