With the Weekly Book Wrap-Up, I give you a bit of an insight into all the new books that have arrived at my place. No matter if I won a giveaway, got approved for a reviewer´s copy, an ARC, or just bought one myself. Everything that I add to my shelves, in what way ever and read during the past week or am still reading, I will write about it. And maybe I tell you a bit about the upcoming things on Inkvotary, that is if I don´t forget it and have something to share with you *smile*

I am linking up with Caffeinated Reviewer and Reading Reality and hope you´ll have fun reading it and maybe get the one or the other book inspiration.

Stacking The Shelves #223

Sunday Post #180

As you all might have noticed, I didn´t do much blogging or visited other blogs lately. Sorry for that. But the fact is, I haven´t touched my laptop for the past fourteen days. I am struggling with a huge lack of energy and feel worn out. I was not really among the living the past few days and weeks. So many things I cannot control give me some thoughts I don´t like. Even working in the garden is no joy now. The grass is brown, if not dead. Some plants didn´t survive the summer and when I look at it, I only see the work I should do until November to make it hopefully look green again. My Garden-to-do list grows and scars me at the same time.

Am I depressive? Probably. Can I do something about it? Maybe. Hopefully. It doesn´t feel good to be in such a mood. That I don´t get things done I have on my schedule. On the other hand, I also saw yesterday that another Fraterfest is coming up – which made me smile when I saw it on Instagram. That picture reminded me to take some Instagram pictures from all the books waiting for my TBR.

But I can also tell you that I finally finished Empire of the Vampire. It was a struggle, to get it done. Not because of the dark and emotional story, no. The German edition is a heavyweight. Over 1000 pages! And my Instagram photo session is also done. It was a sweaty hour with the sun shining bright all afternoon, but it´s done.

Ah well… Some things I can´t change. Or fix. But maybe going through them with my head held high to at least show others that this dark time will pass. One way or the other.

How was your week? Stay safe and healthy.

Happy reading

  2. Well I hope this next week is much better. I have my own garden to do list, like every week there are things I should do. Sometimes I end up spending too much time at the computer.

  3. I'm looking forward to Fraterfest, I think I'm going to do it this year. I used to do more readathons and seasonal stuff like that but the last few years... not so much. I hope you are feeling better soon.

Also thank you for the awesome comment you left on my blog. I do think it's a bit sad we don't get more interest from family or close friends about our blogs. I guess we book bloggers are just a unique population. :)

    1. Totally agree with you. We ARE a unique population *smile* I am looking forward to Fraterfest, too. But so far I don´t have a book for that challenge yet *lol*

  4. I can relate to some of what you are going through. I seem to have lost energy to do most things outside of what I have to do. My reading and blogging definitely took a hit among other things. I hope you have better days ahead.

    1. Sometimes I think that becoming of age is a terrible invention. At least for us women *lol*

  5. *Hugs.* Depression sucks. I have it too. It seems to get better and worse for reasons I don't understand, so hopefully yours gets better soon!
